  • ANYONE WHO THINKS SOUTH AFRICAN ARTIST ARE A GLOWING EXAMPLE THAT BLACK PEOPLE CAN EVOLVE PAST THE GENRES AND MEDIUMS EXPECTED OF THEM AND THAT WE CAN DO ANYTHING AS GOOD AS THE NEXT GUY I.E ROCK MUSIC , POP, PLEASE LIKE THIS COMMENT TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

  • blk jks, de lo mejor!

  • **Tears** too beautiful :( crying

  • What language do they sing in?

  • Puré... Artistically, and when it comes to style and even fashion, perhaps the purest band since Robert Nesta Marley and Peter Tosh linked... Una baina heavy!!

  • I found out about these guys from a yahoo question.

  • algo rescatable de rock al parque!!! :D very good band you are amazing

  • ¡Que sabor! Welcome to Rock al Parque 2011!

  • bienvenidos a rock al parque !!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Does anybody have the lyrics of this song? Please share it :)

  • I need new stuff from them :(

  • Music journalists...just try to please their own ego by thinking they have the power to influence others to listen or not to listen to a band. I never read anything a critic says in a music magazine. My opinion is what matters, not theirs.

  • En Rockalparque 2011 !!

  • like :D

  • Afro-Prog-Punk-Dance-Trance-Folk-Soul-Blues-HipHop; great stuff! Sometimes they seem to try a little to hard to mix up the styles, but there is such a breadth of talent and imagination here, that BLK JKS are one of those bands that could go on to make 10 or 15 albums, each sounding completely different. I hope they do.

  • Afro Prog Rock!

  • @sly552255 : I suggest to create a special categorie for them : reggaebilly :)

  • Secos!

  • Their song "tselane" is absolutely beautiful. even thou i dont understand a single word i cant stop listening to it

  • I don`t know why, but they make me smile))

  • awesome

  • dude played the shit outa those sticks

  • @sly552255 Afro fuse rock or something or other!

  • super genial :)forzaaaa africa

  • does anyone know where i can get tabs 4 this song

  • Rolling Stone Mag suck cock !!!

  • wow....awesome

  • I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • Anyone heard their new ep? It leaked 1 month ago. The song Paradise is one of their best. Look for it on my channel.

  • kind weird in a beautiful way

  • AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

  • these guy's music its pretty good im gunna start to listen to them

  • I BUY MUSIC DO YOU?

  • COOOLL!!!!

  • Put a high expectation on their second album!! THIS SONG IS EXTREMELY GREAT!!

  • I just learned of them about 1 month ago thru a friend. The CD is very nice....nice blend of real music with real soul and reality!

  • AMAZING. This is spectacular you guys make South Africa proud! And this coming from a white laaitie!

  • imo, the drummer's vocals are dispensable.

    Rest is awesome!

  • Can't beleive "Rolling Stone," magazine only gave the album 3 1/2 stars.

  • Rolling Stone is a starting point, a road map to begin any journey. It's never a place to look for an ending. I have star stickers at home, they're fun to play with :D

  • @CorsicanGod lol, true dude, but people are still controlled by stickers. Those stars put down some people who see Rolling Stone as all knowing "Magic 8 Ball" instead of just a narrow articulate opinion:P Sad that people only put themselves as many followers and few and most useless leaders. I guess animal instincts still control:3 Ah well, love this music. And your right, Rolling Stone is a starting point. I think it's time to leave it behind:P

  • @BIoodorange why? RS is a shit magazine

  • @BIoodorange i know i gave it 19 stars... it was perfect..

  • @BIoodorange They know it was better than the rating they gave it. Music journalists just like controversy. It fuels their elitism - the bastards.

  • i love this version of the song! in this one the lead singer is playing acoustic guitar, not like electric on the album version (both are great though). this is a great band, definitely one to see live - their live performances trump any of these videos or recordings. hopefully they'll be touring more soon

  • Lol relaxing song but i can't get over the fact that the little filler riff that keeps repeating is the EXACT SAME little riff at the end of "another way to die" (2:55 in the James Bond MV) solo just with maybe an extra note attached on the end, that was doing my head in i knew I'd heard that before

  • I was at their concert yesterday. Loved it! Anything published on the web so far doesn't really stand up to them in reality. They are much better. However, they performed in a small club (probably of limited sound possibilities, but I am not an expert) and seemed to be obsessed more with technical problems (?) rather than the concert itself. That was a bit bothersome for us wanting just to enjoy music. Well, they are definitely big: fresh and compact sound!

  • Aaah, BLK JKS, love this band. Too bad for us they dont spend much time here in S.A. nowadays so we don't get to check them out jamming. But good for those abroad cause they gettin it all! Much love!

  • i dont understand the lyrics, what does he sing?

  • lyrics dont always have to make sense. if the music is setup good, its good.

  • great, great music!

We need to get these people over to Spain to see them live!

  • yeahhh :)

  • Cool Chune...If not for( Africa) would there be;Reggae,Salsa,Hiphop,Soca,Compa,Zydeco,Blues,Jazz,Calypso,Rumba,Bossa Nova,Cumbia,Reggaeton,or Soul ?

  • I have such a crush on that Linda vocalist..Keep breaking them legs boys!

  • RESPECT

  • Their first album has some A Palace in Persia with little Mars Volta, really nice.

  • this is awesome...

Clearly African... but clearly rock n roll....

  • You guys are sooooo sexy, but the guy playing the semi acoustic guitar (lead singer) is way too fly... and he really makes love to dat guitar!!!

  • These guys are the isht! I absolutely love this music .... big up BLK JKS! Big SA!!!

  • I wonder if Ginger Baker has heard this.

  • Did you read the article in Rolling Stone about him?

  • Haha! Yup:3 This group was in the magazine also, so I looked it up.

  • Haha, same thing! Ginger Baker is such a grumpy old hard-ass isn't he?

  • Yeah dude, he's like Mr. Wilson, but he seems to have a good heart. It's sad he's had it so rough.

  • Yeah really. I feel bad for him.

  • This is quality!! Love the ending of the song!
