I did Basic at Ft. Jackson in 1968. It was tough then too, but I believe you come home better for it.

Recently put on Con leave for 30 days, was in 2nd plt and spent only 3 weeks there, but I can tell that off duty DS ALVARADO, DS Hernandez (agressive), and DS Reece must be great people and cool as shit.

I want to go to fort leanord wood for combat engineers because I heard it's one of the toughest army basic training, other than Fort Benning. Fort Jackson looks way too easy for me, I want a challenge. I'm probably going to enlist right after I graduate this year and will hopefully have combat engineer has a job option. Right now, I'm studying for the ASVAB test and doing more research.

haha, I figured that was an overstatement. I am in the National Guard and we have drill one weekend a month and it is supposedly similar to BCT, but not quite as intense. Please tell me BCT isn't too easy. I want to challenge myself a get into great physical shape (I'm not in bad shape now, just not as good as I want to be) Also, How long does it take to recover from the effects of the Gas Chamber? Do you have any tips for me for BCT?

lol..well it really depends on where u go for bct..like ft.jackson is considered the easiest..dats why its called relaxin jackson..n.e wayz..to get over the effects of the gas chamber is between 5 to 10 min...depending on the person..bct is pretty easy n.e where..all you got to do is do what ur told pretty much..o yea..and get lots of baby wipes..cuz you'll need them..yup..
