it all depends on your attitude. if you wanna learn chinese, just be positive, or if you have a really low self esteem over all (me as an example) just keep forcing it into your brain that it's an easy language and that nothing can stop you from learning it. it really does work!

I think that a big part of learning a language is mostly the attitude and the dedication one puts in into learning it. and yes for that I strongly agree that you have to think of the language you're learning as an easy language. @RideWitMe1 Why buy Rosetta Stone, when you can buy many other books, audio cds, or even find a lot of other free things online, all for less than a Rosetta Stone level 1-5 box? Rosetta Stone in my opinion is expensive especially for what they give you. You should use that as a last resort. Unless if you are rich or like wasting money.
@supermonk3y07 you're right! rosetta stone is indeed not worth the money. as far as i've been practising with it, i can tell that it wouldn't be able to make me or anyone else fluent.

your chinese is very good! you're my favorite polyglot on youtube because you know a variety of very different languages... most polyglots on youtube just focus on a group of similar languages (like only speaking romance languages, etc). chinese is extremely challenging and i applaud you for taking on the challenge!

Yes but in the 9th century Thessaloniki (Solun) was a Macedonian city and Cyrril and Methodius made the Slavic alphabet called ,,Glagolica''. That alphabet was simplified by Kliment Ohridski a student of Cyrril.
He made the alphabet called ,,Kirilica'' becouse of his teacher Cyrill. This alphabet is used today by the Slavic countries on the Balkan. Kliment was born in Ohrid, occupied Macedonia in that time. Cheers!

Also, I really enjoy the movies, music, and I have been to thailand and I really loved it. Just pick which one is the most fun for you.

Superb Chinese! maybe intermediate bordering on advanced - for vocabulary at least. Accent still undeniably American; I heard some tones off. But gosh(?) I could imagine the pains you took

sigh you're so good. I really have no excuse now. I'm cantonese, and can't even perfect my mandarin. and just watched your vietnamese video too. Make me feel so bad!!! My husband is vietnamese, and I was born in vietnam, but it's so hard to learn :( how did u get so good????????????????

makes me think u r, im studying chinese nd everyone says its so hard but yet for some reason koreanis much hard for me than chinese is i mean tones r easy for me most of the time and the writing...yes is much more complex but i think its because in chinese all the words are mostly one syllables sich as Ni Hao but in korean wud b Annyong Haseyo or Yobosayo, chinese words are short like wo, shi, zhongguo, ma, hao nd da, but korean Sarangiraneun is one word

dude, you're amazing! there are some bits where your intonation is slightly inaccurate, but your grasp of the four tones is really great compared to many non-native chinese speakers i've heard. 加油!

1. 你的上聲調很不自然，應該請人幫你矯正一下比較好。
2. 講話聲音放大一點。你現在聽起來好像你對自己的中文缺乏信心。

Superb Chinese! maybe intermediate bordering on advanced - for vocabulary at least. Accent still undeniably American; I heard some tones off. But gosh(?) I could imagine the pains you took
@Bysheon I guess it's an intrinsic part of language. read in some article that even speakers themselves couldn't recognize themselves when hearing a recording of themselves speaking (very fluently) in another language

Your NY accent is very distinct. When you speak other languages you have a completety different resonance. Absolutely amazing.
