@TherealRNO So very true. I rescued a kitten that the local humane society thought should be "humanely euthanized". Granted, it was thrown out of a car window, and did have a VERY large and deep laceration on a hind leg, it had bad fleas, and round worms, and could barely stand when I picked it up off the side of the road. I opted to keep the kitten instead. I got it antibiotics and bandages, a wormer, flea meds, food, water, and a warm bed. It's now a happy, healthy, loving, cat.

Ray, I hate to break it to you but Santa had to be sent to the psych hospital from jail. I work at the jail and was just not comfortable letting him out on the street. We had to send him for continued observation. I always give Ray a hard time for being just plain wrong, but with this song I have to give him two thumbs up. Ray, be this smart in the rest of your rants & you will get a lot more support. Santa rules & comes every 25th December to all good boy & girls.

After this I'm hopeing he re-releases the Haircut song all three verses from the origional recording. How dissapointed I was when the Itunes version was missing the 2nd verse...

@TristTram20: When "The Haircut Song" was issued as a single in 1985 the middle verse was edited out because of time constraints. Country radio stations at one point in time didn't want to even think about playing a song well over 3 minutes...and "The Haircut Song" at full length was well over 6 minutes. It was like 2 and a half minutes per verse, I think? The radio edit is what became more familiar and the middle verse was largely ignored. The album version, of course, has all 3 verses.

@TristTram20: The same thing happened when "The Blue Cyclone" was issued to radio stations in 1985. That particular recording, factoring in both parts, is more than 10 minutes in length! A radio edit was issued which blended together both parts of the song but it removed a lot of the story as a result. The radio edit is typically what appears on the compilation CD's that were released on Ray in the mid and late '80s by MCA. The full version from his 1985 album was made into a music video in 2000

Ray, I hate to break it to you but Santa had to be sent to the psych hospital from jail. I work at the jail and was just not comfortable letting him out on the street. We had to send him for continued observation. I really think his delusions of flying reindeer ect are harmless but in todays liberal influenced society and all the lawsuits flying I felt I had to as a cover my a** kind of thing. Sorry everyone.
