You're assuming one biased meaning of the word "successful", when it also means true success, truly better, true positive achievement, regardless of how and in what manner, but better and successful for the people, period. If anyone joins Obama's administration, they can be in opposition to his goals, and between the two, a better solution could come of it. It's a possibility, but doubtful. The fact that Al Gore's garbage movie was filled with lies, inaccuracies, and self-promoting garbage and was almost completely devoid of any scientific evidence does not disprove the theory of anthropogenic global warming.

There are many parts of the theory which are well proven.
