Hahaha I was just watching the coachella vid of Franti where he sings about the war in the middle east and the war on drugs and what not... My GF and I were wondering if he supported obama. Well this answers that question. Although Obama supports troops in Afghanistan and somewhat in Iraq, he is still much more in line with Spearhead ideals. He is much more in line with taxing the rich more than the lower class, as well as protecting jobs that many poor people really need. Obama isn't a saint like so many believe, but He is a million times of a better choice than McCain. So you can say this song alienates fans, but really its merely celebrating the fact that America actually chose the better of the 2.

I saw Franti, Spearhead, the Solilioquists of Sound, and Cherine Anderson perform this song at the Vic in Chicago on 11-8-08, 4 days after the election. It was the most amazing energy I have ever felt in my life. I was not the only person crying happy tears. And I didn't see one person standing still.

his newest cd came out in september, it's called All Rebel Rockers, it's got some good tunes on it but not this song. I saw him in detroit 3 days after the election and he had said that they just wrote the song the week before. A way to get a copy of it though is to look for downloads of any of the show after nov 4th and maybe you can find a live version.

I have listened to franti for the last 8 years. And I believe that you can't bomb the world into peace! But Barack seems to think that he can. It just baffles my mind how so many good people have been brainwashed by his charisma.
