the LED bulb is not the original one that came with the flashlight. He just bought it and replaced the bulb that was in there. I had one of those mini-maglights back in 1994 with the crappy incandescent bulb, of course.

Roanoke has more to do. 2 malls nice parks, etc. Lynchburg is not bad, just small. I would recommend Roanoke over Lynchburg. Either way, Both Cities are in the Blue ridge mountains, and if you like the outdoors, you will never run out of things to do.

Was that Maglite black at some point?

Maglite is truely the worlds best flashlight! I've had my 3-C cell for a couple years, and never had in issue with it. It's been dropped more times than I can count, run over with my Explorer once (accidentally), and used for a hammer on my trailer hitch a couple times. They are tough and reliable, and as you point on, **AMERICAN MADE!!**
