Anyone else noticed that the music from 1:30 onwards is from Sonic Adventure 2? I have noticed that the Japanese verision uses a lot of Sonic Adventure 2 tracks. They also used Radical highway in episode 72...

It's also what Sonic did in SA2, when his capsule exploded.
Though personally, this Sonic X scene is just cruel and cheap (Gundam's known for this kind of thing), IF this is just only about Molly died and her parallel to Maria.
Unaswered questions:
Why did she gone suicidal at them?
Why did Shadow hesitated for a while on saving her?
Why did he throwed his disgust at her after remembering her words?

It's cute though when she was suprised that Shadow do indeed remember Maria (even quoted her words), but he was troubled with Molly's 'death' not because she reminded her of Maria (hear what Molly 'said' and said).

Anyway. Was this supposed to be a Frey Alstar style death, both are red heads and resemble each other. Then again, Molly also resemble Puyo Puyo Fever's Raffine, which pretty much already hedgehog looking.
I wonder if this (plus also Maaya) inspired them to create Elise but switched it to Sonic instead, or maybe Elise inspired Molly (both developed at the same time).
Most probably they silenced it in the same they silenced Sonic's words in the 52nd episode, dramatic effect.
Interestingly, it's as if Molly said something to Shadow without moving her mouth, this made Shadow starled and then hesitated for a while.

In SB, it's implied his memory is Maria's memory, implanted in him.
In ShtH, Maria's fate is unknown, lost or killed during the crossfire, but not a GUN's rifle (GUN potrayed as the saviour in this game, just like Shadow).
In SX, TMS either forgot to get a letter from the Sonic Team, or Shadow isn't the only one with false memories.
In SX, Molly's 'death' bring up more questions than answers. Nice pretty animation of Maria though. :)

This scene and its dialogues stated and/or implied a few things:
1. Molly felt her existance is useless or did something very wrong.
2. She telepathically linked herself to Shadow .
3. Shadow hesitated for a while on saving her after what she 'said'.
4. His disgust seem to aimed at her instead of the enemy.
5. She didn't remind him of Maria.
6. Leave the past, look at the future.
Combined this with the 78th episode, did Molly really died? Maybe it wasn't Shadow's shadow, but hers, a Black Arms.
