  • Could do with more time under tension, ROM, and less bouncing.

  • This workout is a great bunch of crap, not intensive enough, a real beginner idiot

  • @gyandras1 haha beginning doing 180lb calf raises? You have no clue what your talking about your comment is worthless.

  • You can also put a barbell on your thighs instead of using the machine.

    It´s not so comfortable (use a towel, if you need heavy weights), but you can control the range of motion by stepping on 2-4 plates.

    Actually, almost everytime I used the machine I had a cramp in my calves, that´s why I used some free weights instead.

  • those machines are crap, just stand up and do some raises, it actually works the gastrocnemius ;)

  • when I do this exercise I do one leg at a time starting 1st with 40lbs x 10 reps, then 45lbs x 8 reps, then 50lbs by 6 reps, then 55-60lbs by 4... then I both starting with 120lbs x 8 reps, 130lbs x 6, & 140-150lbs x 4...

    They look good for going low when flexing the calf on the raises.
