i was there i was the eyewitness what a sad day that was god bless that poor girl i was the one who saw the whole thing i called the ambulance we did a blesing for her if you are her family i'm on face book i want to hear from you
they arent morons at all. If you knew her you would have admired her. She was a beautiful young lady and the boy that survived is in college who is pretty much number 1 in his calculus class. It's your loss you didnt get to meet her, so dont judge anyone until you know them or have taken a walk in their shoes.
What happend:: (Btw that person who said she was her sister, she was just on my profile. But she is actually my cousin.) Her and her boyfriend where flatining pennies (something romantic?) and they saw one train coming and got out of the way. But the sound of the train they blocked out the sound of the train that was coming from behind. Theres what really happend. Not "morons" or suicide. It was simply an accident.
I am very sorry for your community's loss. It is very difficult when railfans hear things like this. Knowing that simple things like educating people about proper rail safety and an emphasis on common sense could have prevented this is the tragedy. Many ton train vs. 2 150lb bodies, you always know who is going to win. The train can't just stop on a dime either.
@robertgift Not morons. How dare you say something like that. Shes my cousin... If you really knew the story you wouldnt be saying that. So think before you speak...
@xsaintsfanx So.rry thathey died, buthey were morons noto consider that another train could be coming and not to watch for it. So easy to avoid being hit by a train.
No excuse for being that stupid.
At leasthey will not pass on their stupidity to offspring.
@robertgift I'm glad you know how to use spell check! Good for you =) I find it disgusting you continue to say such terrible things about people you don't even know - let alone you weren't there to confirm your accusations. You are a sad sad being. I feel sorry for you in that you lack the emotion for compassion and decency.
4e578@kay2one Spell check? Not saying terrible things. Just saying trvth. THEY made it TERRIBLE.
Don't need to be there to know that someone was so stupid as to get hit by a train when they know EXACTLY where it travels, need look in ONLY TWO DIRECTIONS, need move only a few feet to be out of its way.
How much did these Darwin Award winners costhe railroad? Railroad probably got sued, too.
@999nick1 Sorry for your loss. I know what its like to lose a friend. Lost one in a car/train accident. Was there when it happened too. Didn't wish to post it.
um i think it was a suiside by train because no one in their right mind would be standing that close, i think the had a pact ohh this world dosent want uss let end it
Thanks for providing the video. I heard the incident on the railroad radio when the engineer yelled emergency distress message on the radio. Oh, I actually known the conductor in the video. He happen to be the conductor on one of my recent trip. I chatted with him during my trip and it sucks that he had to be in this situation. Again, thanks for taking this video and being on location.
@Trainman11185 Not to mention there isn't anything (such like a handrail or a fence) to basically block this type of incident. It's just too easy for anyone to get on the tracks.
evry year some killes them self in that park so thats why they put the fence over there

@xsaintsfanx How much of a moron does one need to be to get hit by a train?
You can seexactly where itravels.
Were they so stupid thathey thoughthere could NOT be another train approaching and therefore did not watch for one?
If visibility is a concern, why not wait for the firstrain to leave so they would have good visibility? Need only look in TWO directions.
How can one be SO STUPID? Darwin Award Winners.
They must have been drinking. Otherwise no one would be THAT stupid.

@robertgift .... speaking of morons - I take it grammar really isn't your thing; nor spelling for that matter. Don't be so quick to judge genius.
kay2one 7 months ago
@kay2one I'm conserving letters. My grammar is perfect.
Were they just morons, or drinking morons?
If you are going to illegally trespass on railroad property, at least look for trains.
If that concept is too difficulto comprehend, STAY OFF RAILROAD PROPERTY.

What's the tally this year of people being struck on these rails? I think we're up to 12. Sad stats. Cascades is fast and quiet.
