Man, I love just love the expression on Mick's face at about 35 secs. Obviously having a whale of a time doing what he does best: Rock Hard. Man, I love Heep, even now. I wish I had been born about 30 years earlier when they were releasing albums like Look at Yourself and Demons and Wizards.
I didn't even know these guys were even alive anymore. I listen to Demons and Wizards every once in a while ( Yes I have the LP). That's a great song. It kicks ass. I hope they come out with more songs that hits the nail on the head.
Always Heep..always Classic! But i missed the harmony vocals..its cool but its seem to me that this song was writing for Equator or Head's First Album..
Radio won't play Heep. Why that is, is beyond me. They have had so many songs that could've been huge. But, thanks to radio being what it is..corporate and all. It really stinks. They are a quality band that deserve more credit and respect than they get.
I played "Nail on the Head" on my college radio station when the album came out in 2011. That and then later "Seventh Star". Into the Wild might be my favorite album of the year.
This goes to show how a band that was making great music in the 70's still has what it takes to make great music. this shit like american idol, next greatest band type bullshit shows giving away a recoring contract and instant fame for nothing when bands had to actually know how to play their instrument and work hard at it gigging to make it. it was earned... today you got hacks that suck all over the radio and it pretty much destoyed the music biz..... long live ROCK and METAL.
@88mpny I don't know how you feel about John Waite, but his latest album " Rough & Tumble " is a rocker too. Uriah Heep's " Into the Wild " is the next to go into my CD collection. Young kids need to sit up and take notice that ROCK & ROLL will never die. Waite's and Heep's releases are prime examples. Long Live Rock & Roll.
@ReneeNme John Waite was too mellow for me but I'll give it a listen though. Yea check out Whitesnakes new album forevermore its pretty good. Rock & Roll... will never die... indeed.
For guys well into their 60's they rock pretty damn good still, they should open for AC-DC and let the masses know they still got the goods!! New music from old bands can still rock as hard as ever , check out latest albums from Scorpions, Judas Priest, Kiss, all pushing 60 and still kicking ass
Great! What a great band. I saw them live in Tbilisi last year and they sounded simply amazing.
Can't believe that such great band is commercially so declined. Their contemporaries, for example DEEP PURPLE is going to play at London's O2 arena this year, whereas Uriah Heep plays at a small clubs and venues, such as London's Astoria hall...
@georgiansolitaire yes.... but a few years ago i saw Deep Purple at Manchester arena, it was such a horribly cold setting, people were walking about and talking during solos, and half the audience left after they'd played 'the' song!! So what i'm saying is just because you play big venues it doesn't mean people really appreciate what you're doing, so even if Heap do play little theatres atleast everybody there will appreciate them:)
@ElvenElfofMetal Really? I saw Deep Purple for two times and in both cases concerts went fantastic. The band were in a great shape and audience were hot! I don't know what happened in Manchester, but what I see right now is that Purple has nearly sold out four shows in UK (planned for November 2011) (London's O2 Arena, Birmingham's LG, Manchester's MEN and Glasgow's SECC). They still have a BIG following, unlike Uriah Heep, which is a truly AMAZING band!
@georgiansolitaire hey, DP were sounding awesome nodoubts there, but it was the audience that let it down, it was just like they weren't really botherd for being there!! I understand what your saying though, a band like UH do deserve a bigger audience, but having a larger doesn't make the music of any less importance to yourself as an individual:)
@ElvenElfofMetal "having a larger doesn't make the music of any less importance to yourself as an individual" - Of course, I absolutely agree with it! :)
@ElvenElfofMetal by the way, what I say is that a band like Uriah Heep deserves to sell out large arenas and stadiums. Sad, that they were put under Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple., whereas UH's music is an unique one, with the amazing polyphony and the talent of creating GREAT composition, if not better, then no less that Purple or Zeppelin did.
love the song. Just saw the band in Brisbane,Australia on the 31st of March.Got to meet the band and they are a great bunch of guys. Great live show too .Looking forward to getting the new album.
Not to old to Rock & Roll....And sure are to young to die......Cant wait to see Heep In Canada.....Good tune Guy's very catchy for sure.....Rock On!!!!!!!
