Yeah, I would have to agree with you. I think that TOD2's version is clearer. I do enjoy this theme though, its one of my favourites in TOD2.

Both ToD2 and ToDR list it as Coup De Grbce, so I doubt it's a typo, maybe they used a b to look stylish? (or to show that it's Barbatos' theme? :P)
Well, whatever the reason, it seems the song's official title is Coup De Grbce.
