Mesfin was born in Dessie, but as a teacher he has taught in many towns including Nefas Mewcha and Awasa

In dat case u probably know my mom as well,...lol,...cos she was a friend of him and they used to teach together. I don't really know him personally but i remember well this song when i was a kid,...it's was one one my favorite. And u r right, he is from Awassa, Sidamo.
