glad to know u have enjoyed it

  • Mesfin was born in Dessie, but as a teacher he has taught in many towns including Nefas Mewcha and Awasa

  • In dat case u probably know my mom as well,...lol,...cos she was a friend of him and they used to teach together. I don't really know him personally but i remember well this song when i was a kid,...it's was one one my favorite. And u r right, he is from Awassa, Sidamo.

  • This Music came out 1980 Ethio Calander and this was shot during an interview he conducted with either Hibre-Treet or YeWotatoch Zigijit... I forgot which one.

  • ahmddin thanks for posting this wonderful music of Mesfin. Timless music!

  • does anyone have an mp3 of this!

  • why dont u just download the audacity" software....record the song, save it and just put it into ur mp3? that is how i do it..so easy..try it..ok bro..

  • @DabusNibor

go to dirpy.com, copy this pages URL and them paste it on to dirpy, and you can either download the mp3 or the video version mp4.

  • @DabusNibor

might be a bit.. or a lot naughty, but I use 'listen to you tube dot com'... with no spaces of course. still not sure about the ethics of ripping mp3's yet... but comes in handy.

  • It seems one either love or hate Mesfin.

  • @truth2btold66 I knew he was a teacher but I thought he was from Harar. Thanks for the info. This song brings a lot of memory growing up in Asmara. I heard a young man play this song with a kirar at a "Tela Bet" in Asmara 2 years ago. A beautiful music that transcends language and generations. classic!

  • sup libedash:) endet nesh nebsu....yea me too man i admire musicians like mesfin so so much for a simple fact that he can work that gitar like it's nothing...he's so talented and kind of under rated in the ethiopian music scene know what i mean?

to answer ur other q man..he's still around doing his stuff....he never changes u know check his other new songs on the right of the video or just type mesfin abebe on de search box..
