The leadership in both chambers of Congress penned their bills under lock and key and far from the eye of not only the public, but the rank and file members of their own party. That is where attack will come from. Amendments like the 18th can be passed which violate other rights. Heck, the Republican Party Platform in Idaho calls for repeal of the 17th Amendment I won't get into the numerous court rulings that have altered the intent of the Constitution.

I'm for example a mormon, and one of our tenents is what's called the United Order. Some incorrectly think it's similar to pure communism, however ideologically it's completely different. I remember a bus trip from Virginia to NYC which had a bus change in Baltimore. My mom was going to take me to see a Disney movie. As we stood in line, my mom was signaled to come to the ticket booth. There she was told that blacks were not allowed in the movie. My mom told me we would miss our bus connection.

I remember that when she came back she told me the movie was too long and we would miss the bus connection. Years later and when I was an adult she told me that we didn't see the movie because the theater was for whites only. I doubt she was called out of the line only to be told that we would have to sit in the balcony.

Even if that were the case in that Baltimore theater that was playing Disney, my mom would have been right to not subject me to the humiliation. What is more likely is that blacks could see that movie only on a special day. In the mid 1940's when my Jr. High school class went to an amusement park in NJ we couldn't use the pool.
