This console was amazing, and had some of the best games of its generation together with the PS2 and Xbox.

It was underrated though...it was MUCH more powerful than the PS2 and this showed on almost every game, though for some reason multi-platform games weren't always the best.

And too bad Nintendo capped the storage capacity to just 1.5GB for their games, while the PS2 and Xbox allowed for up to 8.5GB worth of ingame content.

The Xbox had some serious x86 grunt, like as shown in Splinter Cell, but it didn't capture my tastes for some reason.

@drybonesandboo45 More powerful than the ps2, better games, yet it sold worse, i think the late release (Late 01') let it down as the other 3 consoles had already been out for a 1 and a half years already, nintendo tried to get more out of the N64 than they could, that was dead 1998-imo, dreamcast killed it. Some of the best nintendo exclusives were on the gamecube imo like F-zero, mario, luigi's mansion, not to mention the gamecube was CHEAP CHEAP, only like what £130 at original release?

actually relating last gen to this gen, the wii is a more suckier console. at least the gamecube could sort of handle ps2/xbox games. there is no way in hell the wii could even touch a ps3 game
