Did you go out and buy the chef jacket for this video (the jacket does not make you more of a chef). You need to learn some of the basic skills and work in a restaurant. You said you did not want to move the chicken a lot and wanted it to brown. However, you kept tossing it in the pan (which you don't do with chicken, you use tongs to turn it). I think top chef is looking for someone who is a executive chef, not home cook. (name one home cook that has been on that show)

Lisa Parks from Season One. I don't think they require that contestants be executive chefs or even culinary school graduates. What they look for is skill, creativity, and personality.
