The film is completely fictional. The fact that many people are still wondering if its "real" is a testament to how effective it is. I think it's one of the better "mockumentaries", and very underrated by critics.

1. During encounters, all electronics become disabled. I'm pretty sure you all know that
2. It's not exorcisms. The were apparently being harmed by whatever tools were being used to track them or other uses.
3. Dark figure in the shape of a disk that seems to be a UFO is highly distinguished for a few seconds.

No problem with that, or have you studied sumerian for as long as those kind of scientists have? In my opinion, it is not "terribly fake", its interesting, thrilling and exciting! That may well be, however the movie is SOMEWHAT based on real life events. for example, the believe of having seen an UFO and the theory of people who believe they have been abducted and I don't see why we should not believe those people, just because what they say seem to be unreal to us humans. This means they could use anywhere from 1% to 100% of truth from "actual case studies."...so... as long as there had been at least "ONE" abduction case in the history of ufology, the remaining 99% of the movie could be FAKE and still be able to claim it was "based on actual case studies.
