They go 60-65 stock and if you get water in you need to change the oil multiple times until it comes out clean. Run it for a little bit in between each Oil change. I sunk my sportsman 800 last summer.

if you have means of getting it to a local dealer, like a trailer or something, dropping it off and having them service it for 130$ average is the best thing to do. i wouldnt really worry about the airfilter too much, but maybe after 20-25 hours of riding get a new one. there pretty cheap.

i get my raptor serviced twice or 3 times a year, or whenever the oil is dirty and needs to be changed.

it depends on what you prefer , the 250 is a light torquey quad but the 450 is larger and has more power. i would get a 450 if i were you, but youll have to be willing to pay like 4000 more for a 450 rather than a raptor 250

Im 16 as well as 160lb's and 5'11. I own a yfz 450 and a 250 and ive got to say that the 250 is on amazing machine. Some think that the 250 is wimpy with no power but really it has almost too much power for its size. The 250 has handels very well. it will hug corners when you want and breaks loose the rear tires when you want.
