I'm sure if you ripped everything out of the RS4 (which is what they've basically done to the M3 CSL) and got the RS4 down to a similar weight, it would absolutely humiliate the M3 CSL.

No, it isn't. I didn't hear or see anything in this video comparing the CSL with the RS4. This wasn't a review at all.

It showed that the M3 CSL is quicker, which everybody already knows because it's had everything stripped out and it's running slick tyres.

Like I said before, for the track I'd have the M3 CSL but for an every day car I'd have the RS4.

A much better comparison would be an M3 E90 vs RS4 B7.

is not linear. People always underestimate how much weigth has an effect on a cars performance. Look at it like this: 60hp, thats about 14% of 420hp. Yet the weigth of the CSl is 3080 vs RS4 at 4020 with premium package. Thats 940lbs, thats 25%. Like I said, the RS4 with 500lbs trimmed is faster than the CSL.

I have no clue what some of you are talking about. RS4 has no turbos. It is naturally aspirated. CSL is faster at top end because it has the light weight and the high rev. Audi loses 20bhp at the wheels due to awd. However audi has been shown many times, even on Top Gear, is faster 0-60 than the M3. But the weight is a factor at top end. In a street race with mixed surfaces, sharp turns, RS4 owns. On a smooth track with constant arc's M3 owns. So choose whats for you, are both kick ass cars.
