  • Thanks to Taylor Buckingham,QMCS USN Retired for the permission to post the video and thanks for all the comments! Gally W.C.

  • EM3 Wall, I left the Pluck in August 1985 just as they were about to leave the fuel pier for Seattle! Do you keep in touch with any of your ship mates? A group of sailors has started an MSO museum (USS Lucid MSO 458) in Stockton Ca. I am trying to raise awareness of the project since I am disabled and cannot be there in person. Word is that a large part of the electrical wiring and sound powered phones from Pluck were salvaged and bought for the museum. Please pass the word. Thanks. Gally W.C.

  • I spent a year on the Constant as an Electronics Tech in 74. It could be rough. It was the only time in my life that I was seasick!

  • I was on the USS Pluck during this trip, it took a week from San Diego to Vancouver with a stop in San Francisco. In Victoria, many of us missed ships movement. That storm - only the Capt didn't puke. The swell/trough was so deep that we would lose sight of the forward ship. EM3 Wall 1986-1989
