EM3 Wall, I left the Pluck in August 1985 just as they were about to leave the fuel pier for Seattle! Do you keep in touch with any of your ship mates? A group of sailors has started an MSO museum (USS Lucid MSO 458) in Stockton Ca. I am trying to raise awareness of the project since I am disabled and cannot be there in person. Word is that a large part of the electrical wiring and sound powered phones from Pluck were salvaged and bought for the museum. Please pass the word. Thanks. Gally W.C.
You really dont need to gamble on sports anymore! I use software that tells me which bets to place with the bookies to take advantage or arbitrage... get the details in my channel.
I was on the USS Pluck during this trip, it took a week from San Diego to Vancouver with a stop in San Francisco. In Victoria, many of us missed ships movement. That storm - only the Capt didn't puke. The swell/trough was so deep that we would lose sight of the forward ship. EM3 Wall 1986-1989
I served on USS Impervious MSO 449 Oct 70 to Feb 73.Homeported in Guam,MINDIV 71 MINFLOT 1.Did Market Time patrol(Guam to Nam local)and Operation End Sweep Jan/Feb 73.I was helo rep off while in Haiphong Harbor.Hit some typhoons during that time.Crews were sleeping on the decks!!I was a SMSA going on,SM2 going off.Small ship Navy is the best.
This is wonderful to see. I served aboard USS BOLD MSO 424 68-71. I had forgotten how bad these little wooden wonders rode. Thanks for posting . I have been looking for a long time trying to find video of minesweeper underwiegh!!!

I spent a year on the Constant as an Electronics Tech in 74. It could be rough. It was the only time in my life that I was seasick!
