Well, that was fun, wasn't it? Nothing like a road trip to Alabama. I did not know that they were the only company in America making sleeping bags. That's pathetic, isn't it? There's tons of great sleeping bags out there, and none but one are made in the US? Not good. Thanks for the info.
@sabr686 Thanks man! It was a fun episode to make for sure. Check out some of the comments below, you'll see that there are indeed a couple other companies making sleeping bags in the U.S. But they are more of the high-end variety and produce only a fraction of the volume as Exxel. Thus we call Exxel the only "major" sleeping bag factory in the U.S. -josh
@edgybob1 Yeah they were a little quiet. I can definitely hear them though without turning the volume all the way up. In any event, thanks very much for the kind words. :) -josh
@trenttyre You on a pc or mac? Watching the videos through what browser? (can you hear the audio correctly at our site? CampingGearTV . com ) Want to get this fixed for you man...but I don't know what the deal is. Audio working fine every way I test it. -j
@Gman7e Yep, those are the ones! They also make some other brand names at this factory. But Ozark Trail was the one in production on the day of our visit. -josh
@dmosier We believe the difference is that they are the only manufacturer of mass-market sleeping bags in the U.S. Certainly the companies you mention are great brands. Our understanding is that Exxel's approximate annual production of two million bags puts them at a production level way beyond any other US manufacturers. Thus the term "major." - josh

looks like a Walmart special. what do those run $19.95? Complete lack of innovation.
