Man that scream is one of the most haunting things I've ever heard. You can feel the desperation in his voice. Trent really was a tortured soul. I'm glad that he did what he did because it was a big fuck you to everyone and it was part of the progression to the artist now, but I'm glad that he's truly happy now and he doesn't need to scream anymore. I know what it's like to be in that place and it isn't nice!

It's not really classic hip hop that the song is a satire of. It is more of the gangster rap that was going around from the late 80's to then. Trent has mentioned in a few different videos that he enjoys hip hop music, ie: tribe called quest, saul williams.

yeah, the self destruct tour was intense. saw it twice in 94 and once in early 95. I remember people hauled out of the mosh pit unconscious. Trents energy level was incredible. How they were able to sustain it night after night I'll never know. Since he's alot older now I'll cut him some slack if he's toned it down a bit. I just hope he keeps touring and putting out great music.
