1:14 Thats not mother and daughter. MarineLand Canada has 3 whales, Kiska, Ikaika, & Athena. The whales at 1:14 are Ikaika and Athena, Ikaika is the one that swims over on his back. Kiska is the mother of Athena, and her father, Kandu7 died. and Ikaika is a killer whale from SeaWorld, whose mother and father are still alive and well. MarineLand calls Ikaika Ike. Kiska is around 29-30 years old, Ikaika is 9 and Athena is 4. ;)

Kiska is 29 or 30 years old,and yes Ike lays on his back. Yes I lost that Canon Power Shot that day, it never worked again... but I was back the next day with an Olympus Stylus...waterproof, and practically indestructable...kicker zone is the only place to be!

-Orca have incredibly sensitive hearing, the screams of the public, loud music etc must be deafening

Currently, MarineLand only has 2 orcas. Kiska and Ikaika.
Athena passed away spring 2009.
