Not quite a hoax... The Wyoming Incident was a lesser known case of TV hijacking... People in Wyoming (including my Aunt & Uncle) had their sitcoms interrupted by this video. It was originally played at a frequency between 17 and 19 hz, unto which extended viewing/listening caused hallucinations. The maker of the video has still never been found. I learned about this in a Communications class in college.

yes this is a hoax..theres a huge disconnected storyline and everything that goes with this at. The most bizzare thing about all this though is there is a fourm called happycube and it started out as promoting a think called cubing which is apprently kill people and eatign them in cubes from what i could gather...very messed up people the emmbers of the fourm even have "meetings" where they kill each other off and then the survivors bring in new members
