No idea. I drive one of these and its fun as hell. It weighs very little, hugs the road better than a Porsche, and its certainly fast enough for me.

I can take a 90 degree corner at 60km/h and get no under or oversteer. I live in a big city so thats been awesome.

@f44life yes, you're right. But they would have had to change the gear ratios, so i think it was more economical for chrysler to take the mercedes slk's transmission.

My father had a crossfire with 218 hp for a few months, and the shifter didn't work very exactly. Then he bought a 300c because the manual crossfire was neither fun to drive nor big enough. Although it's a real dream car <3

@MrRipthechecker i leased a manual crossfire for awhile the power got old quick... nobody even made a turbo kit for it or anything...chrylser only has the viper....all the other shit there making is 400hp but weighs 4500lbs big ass boat cars

i have a BMW 335i coupe and i raced one of these crossfires and yes they are quick of the line but the higher end of he revs i took him, i took him at about 90mph and i carried on to about 140mph

the fastest 0-60 so far is 5.1, v. 335i's fastest being 4.9.

not to mention the 335 has manual trans.

they are quick if you compare them to an VW GTI i beat a SRT-6 last night in my audi tt the thing i noticed by the third race was that they blow coming off the line and have almost no pick up till about 70-90 thats when i noticed his car really took off but the race was already over so it didnt really matter LOL overall i was pretty dissapointed but still was the closest 3 races of the night!

well your TT must be heavily modified, a regular crossfire gets a 0-60 in 5.9s and im pretty sure the SRT does a 0-60 in 5.0, but i don't really know the TT's statistics, i know the statistics of the 1.8T and the 2.0T VW's, unless you got the 3.2 V6 TT

i have the 1.8t quattro it had 225 stock but i did the Apr Ecu upgrade to 263 horse and 267 ft lbs of torque and my only other upgrade is the HKS SQV blow off valve i know stock before any mods its supposed to run 0-60 in the low 6's high 5's

i know one thing for sure that definitely helped me is my all wheel drive because when that crossfire launched he was spinning like a son of a bitch lol and i just shot right out dont forget im also running 25lbs of boost lol

i know in a quarter mile that thing would toast me but its still funny i beat him red light to red light three times and on the way back through town we went two redlights and he only passed me when we hit about 80mph i will say he passed me fast though but still it took him till 80 to pass me thats kinda sad and it was an SRT-6 it had the badging and the wing and the hard to miss whine of the supercharger

I guess this is bias since I have a cross, but i'll write about what I remember before I put my turbo in.

It was not SUPER quick off the line.. but fast enough.. The stats of 350z, g35's, SRT4's, (New) eclipse(GT)'s made them look much better on paper. But On a rolling start none of these cars ever beat the cross's. I have driven eclipse's, 350z and the srt4 And the cross felt better at higher speeds for sure, (drove a convertible Z though :S those are not up to par.

yeah those convertibles z's are way heavy, but yeah its pretty crazy with only 215hp these things can move as quick as the cars you listed(350z=286hp,g35=300hp,SR­T-4=230hp).Ive never driven in one so i wouldnt know much bout em. But it does have that mercedes power.

right well its like all the srt-8's only come in auto, its definitely stupid on dodges part...a friend of mine with some cash wanted a charger SRT-8 but instead got a '06 GTO because he wanted a manual,...i agree that the cross with the 6.1 woulda been beastly...it is odd cuz dodge only offered the SRT-4 with a manual and when they first came out with SRT-10's they only offered it with a manual, then shortly after the started offering the SRT-10 with an automatic also

When was the last time you looked at the website? Its NOT on their, and the last Crossfire was produced in December of 2007 as a 2008 model. They did not make them in 2009, nor will they in 2010. And the srt model was only made in 2005 and a few in 2006.

A 6.1-liter block would likely not fit and worsen the handling. The supercharged V-6 is an absolutely excellent engine, so I only miss the rumble of the V-8, not the engine itself.
