Of course, it's not really Pam's fault, either. She's obviously been doing this for a while, and in the series up until this point no one has ever encountered an angel before. The only supernatural forces she knows of are demons and spirits and monsters, most likely, none of which are particularly trustworthy. She'd likely never even heard of something that can burn out your eyes just by looking at it.

It kinda ticked me off when Dean kept bringing up Cas burning out Pam's eyes as something he should be blamed for and Pam hating the angels for it. It wasn't something Cas had any control over. He tried to warn her but she forced his true form. Once she did that there really wasn't anything he could do. He didn't choose to burn her eyes out.

@suiamanda No, they haven't, angels have not walked the Earth for over 2000 years, so no one in recent times have ever heard of or seen angels. Castiel is the first angel to appear on Earth as he pulled Dean out of Hell.

@Japansepuppy2481 It's not Cas's fault, he warned Pamela not to look upon his true form, he didn't have any control over burning her eyes, it's not like he decided to burn her. Stupid to hate him for something he had no control over.

@Japansepuppy2481 That just proves my point, it's not Cas's fault that Pam looked upon his true form, it's not like he made the choice to burn her eyes. She's the one who called him and forced him to reveal himself. If anything, it's Pam's own damn fault anyways. Why blame Cas when he had no control over what happened. His true form burns eyes out, it's just the way it is, he can't change it.
