there are so much amplification in her mike to compensate for her lack of projection that every little breath she takes is as loud as her voice... thank to some echo in the mixing board her voice seems to hang a bit but this is America's got talent it is not a signing contest. so anything is 'aloud' right?

I HAVE to listen to her AT LEAST 5 times a day. Many professionals cannot match such beauty. I've been singing every day of my life since I was 6 and I can sing high soprano and vibrato, but that is just beyond remarkable. Normally, I would be jealous. Since NBC never promoted how the votes were tabulated, I suspect that NBC thought Jackie would be too young to do a show in Vegas and ignoring the votes, announced that Michael Grimm won. There are so many kids with "amazing" talent now, it's OLD and BORING... I'm sick of seeing them already =\ You can still hear her childish tone when she's NOT singing really high. Fighting Gravity should have won... at least they're ORIGINAL and created everything of theirs from SCRATCH with NO LESSONS. BAD VOTE, JUDGES, BAD VOTE.
Just so no one gets the wrong idea. Evancho was great. Especially for a 10 year old.
But NBC had put a LOT of money into promoting her and tried to rigg it so she would win. She might have won if they had just left her alone and let her sing. Instead they corrupted the contest process and people rebelled.
Meanwhile Grimm just sat back and sang the blues very well. He had the advantage of Blues being more pop than Opera and people were fed up with AGT/NBC BS.
It is pretty clear why she lost. It wasnt her fault either.
The idiots at NBC overpromoted her and she felt the backlash from that.
They advertised her all over TV and the morning shows...buzzed PoppyCock before Evancho even sang to compare the two...let bad singers through like Christy and Ali but booted great competition like Alice Tan Ridley...called other child acts like Anna and Patryk "creepy" when they performed at adult level...yet she was praised for adult sounding...epic fail

Since NBC never promoted how the votes were tabulated, I suspect that NBC thought Jackie would be too young to do a show in Vegas and ignoring the votes, announced that Michael Grimm won. But Michael was not bad and he has been around the Vegas scene for awhile; Jackie will be successful no matter what. I do plan to buy her Holiday CD...

@death007007 The facts are that Jackie is on her way up up!! Hopefully, as Sarah Brightman said, the voice will be nurtured, rested and protected until she matures.
Charlotte Church of Wales was a singing sensation also, however, she got into smoking and drinking and destroyed her once angelic voice.

Her voice is a world treasure potentially and - mu goodness - how easily they can be ruined when mistreated. That is why Sarah Brightman appealed for her voice to be cared for. jackie is anyway destined for greater things than a show at Las Vegas!

There are so many kids with "amazing" talent now, it's OLD and BORING... I'm sick of seeing them already =\ You can still hear her childish tone when she's NOT singing really high. Fighting Gravity should have won... at least they're ORIGINAL and created everything of theirs from SCRATCH with NO LESSONS. BAD VOTE, JUDGES, BAD VOTE.

Just so no one gets the wrong idea. Evancho was great. Especially for a 10 year old.
But NBC had put a LOT of money into promoting her and tried to rigg it so she would win. She might have won if they had just left her alone and let her sing. Instead they corrupted the contest process and people rebelled.
Meanwhile Grimm just sat back and sang the blues very well. He had the advantage of Blues being more pop than Opera and people were fed up with AGT/NBC BS.

It is pretty clear why she lost. It wasnt her fault either.
The idiots at NBC overpromoted her and she felt the backlash from that.
They advertised her all over TV and the morning shows...buzzed PoppyCock before Evancho even sang to compare the two...let bad singers through like Christy and Ali but booted great competition like Alice Tan Ridley...called other child acts like Anna and Patryk "creepy" when they performed at adult level...yet she was praised for adult sounding...epic fail
