  • I love my Sapphire RadeOn HD4890 2GB Vapour-X:o) Great potential even in todays gaming...

  • HD 4850 power <3. I have a year and now works at maximum performance

  • I have 4850 with that cooler!

  • I have the sapphire vapor x 4870 2gb for over a year now and it has worked wonders.their isnt a game out there i cant play maxed out.My spec sre Asus M4a78-e motherboard- Amd Phenom 2 x4 940 at 3.6 Ghz- I have 4 gb of corsair dominator 1600mhz I have a BFG 800 watt psu and I also have a 1 terabyte HDD,Oh yea also I have a 22 inch dell monitor with max rez at 1680x1050.Overall nice card never heats up,it stays at 60 degrees at max activity and at idle it is at 42 degrees.

  • you need 2 6-pin connectors for this card?

  • WTF was the point of this vid!!! fricken graphics card from different angles

  • @MugenPride it's like a female photo shoot, you gotta think about putting the video card in a motherboard. ohh yay

  • So are you ABSOLUTELY sure that I can run pacman in hd with this?

  • im going from nvidia 7100 to a hd 5770

  • lol and see what we have almost a year later !!

  • i have the older 4870 with vapor x, and it is a piece of shit. It can handle anything i throw at it, but its a bad design and it heats up my case.

  • powercolour 1gb 4850 smokes this 4850.. my comp is living proof

  • Should I get 2 of these? Hmmmm.... :P

  • @TheZombiePanda no, get a 4870x2 on ebay, 2nd hand for about £200 (in england)

  • Eh...not sure.

  • @donkeyboy2k7 DO NOT get those secondhand! You never know if they've been overclocking it!

  • i have my new pc already:

    AMD 9850x4 @ 2.5GHz (taking it to 3GHz soon)

    4GB RAM

    XFX 4870 @ 760MHz @ 1030MHz

    1TB HDD

    AC Rev Pro 2

i paid £400 for that, so quite happy, all brand new aswell :D

  • lol, well you could or save all that money and get a 4850x2 (which are really cheap now and are a little behind 4870x2) (4850x2 beats the GTX280 on some games)

  • Nahhh, I've decided to get two 5770's in crossfire with Win 7 for DX11.

  • that is a very powerful combo but i would recommend you should get 1 radeon 5850 1gb because it cost the same and you can in the future just add another 5850 for even better performance.

  • I have actually decided on 2 5870's. xDD

  • I'll do a big jump from x1600pro to hd4850 vapor-x lol

  • watching this 2nd time and i still get horny~ :D

  • LMFAO ahahahahah perve :P

  • only imho, i think the card is sexy~

  • Name of the song pls ? :)

  • this card makes me horny...

  • I want.

  • i'm running a 650W PSU and its running fine.

  • I got the 4890 vapor-x oc version upgraded from a 9800gtx+ and must say its a really nice jump in performance. For anyone looking to buy any of these cards soon, just wait for the 58** series cards to come out cause a nice price drop for the 48** series will happen at the same time.

  • lol i have a 8500gt fml

  • Sounds like you could use a upgrade and a perfect time to do it too.

  • i'm buying the xfx geforce 9800gt

  • I play using the 1Gb HD4850 VaporX supported by a Corsair TX750w psu. The highest recorded temp on load (Crysis, Arma II and Anno 1404) is 69.5 degrees celsius and that's about 3 hrs of gaming. ATI really got those temps right this time. I kid you not!

  • 550 watt at least!!!!

you got molex adaptators for the former power box!!

  • this is 2gb so it should be very good

  • willing to get 2 of 4890 vapor-x 1gb ddr5 soon :p

  • i want to buy the 4870 version. Can i just replace it with my current card, or do i need more power to make it work?

  • How much watts and very important amps does your power supply got?

  • AM2 with 400w and this card work this?^^

  • Depends on what brand the PSU is.

Probably yes, even though officially it requires 450w.

  • no minimum for HD4850 is 450W

  • Got a Sapphire 4850 Vapor-x 1GB DDR3.

    That card's a fucking BEAST.

    Seriously.

    Also,awesome song.

  • If that is a beast, can sapphire 4870 Vapor-x 2GB DDR5 be a MONSTER? :D

  • Yeah,it IS a monster.I sold the 4850 and

    I actually bought the 1 GB 4870 Vapor-X.

    Just WOW.

  • I got one of thoose for the price of a basic powercolor card due to the latter being out of stock. can't wait for it to ship.

  • Hey I was wondering if someone could help me out. I heard of some people putting a Scythe

"MUSASHI" on a 4870. I was wondering out of curiosity if it can be done with one of these for sure?

  • These cards have excellent cooling the way you buy them. Really effective and silent coolers. What makes you want to put a Scythe cooler on? :)

  • Thanks for letting me know in advance. I gotta stop reading reviews at places like newegg--if i keep reading their reviews I'd be afraid to buy a single computer part, lol. Anyways, I was just curious in case if heat and/or noise did ever become a big problem. But now I'm glad to find out these cards aren't that bad in that area so I shouldn't have any issues. Thanks again! :)

  • Im running a Vapor-X 4870 1Gb and a AMD Phenom II x3 and I havnt noticed any performance downsides.

  • I have the 4870 Vapor-X 1GB version and it runs well with a 400W but I think 500w is better because I have problems sometimes.

  • hi have you triesd crysis yet?

  • No unfortunately :( Anyway after some bad smell problems (I am not joking, psu was going to explode I think :S) I bought a new Enermax 625W modular psu and everything works ok now.

  • 4870 2 gb ? minimum PSU ?

  • Minimum would be 800, anything less than that probs not, but basically any that can handle dual or triiple, or quad graphics.

  • 800 ? lol are you kiding me :D

  • Heh, will i run 2 on a 1000Watt Powersupply, only cuase it requires 24v, across 2 x 6pin pci-e connectors, but then again, the only reason i probably have a 1000 watts is i should be getting a further 2 cards to shove im my system, NOW That should play Crysis : P

  • depends on the rest of the components, if you have a quad core, or how many drives are connected. If you do have a quad core like a phenom 2 you should have a 700 w psu (quality psu!!!)

  • im thinking of 4 of these vapor x 2gb 4870 cards in quad crossfire you know crossfire x or something thats going to be good

  • you should get the 4890's at in dual crossfire

  • no if use 4 of those i will have 8gb of GPu memory or whatever you call it... it will pwn!

  • ok, friend, nice vocabulary there, you reach 450 that means youre stressing the shit out of that psu. that guys wants quad solution for his graphics., so my advice for you. Shut Up ! Have a nice day

  • wow dumbass the point is

DONT HELP SOMEONE IF YOUR NOT HELPING THEM CUZ YOUR A NOOB!

  • LOL it doesnt even make sense . Whateva dude . Im not gonna continue this. Have fun
