well the game isn't terrible but its not very good either. the controls are all over the place but it looks really good. but good graphics do not mean a good game,
@Zeppieruss Well its one of those games that has a lot of hate for no real reason in particular. Sure there were some glitches but the controls are no harder to learn then those of resident evil 5. If you can put up with some minor frustrations and you enjoy unique games you will have a great time with alone in the dark.
@Raklryja correction, this game sucks for the ps2 and wii. for ps3 its AMAZING so many HOLY SH*T moments. the only flaw is the anti-climactic ending, allthough there are two and ive only gotten one.
you have to pour a flammable substance on the ammo you have. In otherwords,
you have your ammo on the left side of your jacket- and you have your sprays and bottles, etc on your right side.
Combine an item that is flammable from the right side with your ammo on your left side. Then once you have gotten your achievement/trophy for creating this combination- combine this ammo with your gun. Voila. :)

It also has only 18% out of 100% on one famous movie rating webpage, and this IS bad. I bet it doesn't have much more on imdb either.

Geez. Well i think that is a little funny the fact that in every trailer o cutscene of this game that i see, he is grabbing on a building´s edge, or on a gargoyle or steel bars and another things , but i love that part of the game i think that is exciting, most when you are on that and suddenly a car blows up (OMG) and smash you.

This is true. Alone in the dark has never been about "zombies". It's more about monsters and demons and the story itself is incredible. Alone in the dark doesnt need zombies to inflict sheer terror, which it does.
Guys, the game is GOOD, but only the Xbox 360 and PC versions (since they are the same) if you do take this advise, stay away from the Wii and PS2 versions (because they are the same too)! They are Terrible! But at the same time, are fun... For the Wii... But I would HIGHLY recommend the 360 or PC ver.!
The term "crappy' is used in the wrong context in the predicament. What I was trying to say is, (and you may have been agreeing or disagreeing for that matter; it was hard to make out) is that the Storey and Graphics (witch are acceptable because it's the PS2/Wii) are weaker then they are in the 360/PCs'. In no way did I say the actual quality of the game [itself] was bad.
nah im not saying that at all. what I meant was the copies that were made for the 360. Some of them weren't "finished" copies. for example the driving level at the end of chapter 2. My friend and I were playing and we got to the end and we drove through the window of the mall only to see nothing but a empty level. Like it wasn't even finished.

Okay sorry! But, I do have to say that the game could have just loaded incorrectly; it happens with all games. But, perhaps it was a false (or incorrect) version of the game, in that cause it is fairly new... I would just take it back, I'm sure your get a new one.

I bought the game and I don't like it.You have to use fire to kill the zombies and when your fighting 10 zombies with a chair that can last 20secs or so with fire on it.Thats just not fair.So I'm stuck on that level and I have never touched the game since.

This trailer was extremely well done. It definetly makes you want to buy this game, and proves why Alone in the Dark is the best in survival horror. Just my opinion of course,

There's quite a bit of bugs in the first "59th Street" drive scene, with character & environmental collisions. I personally, have not experienced any sort of frame rate issue.
The combining explosives feature is RAW! The inventory setup is alot different than most games.. the graphics are sick, achievements are easy.. i give it a 8 of 10!

Man, I rented this game yesterday and I can honestly say it is utter horse shit - terrible voice acting, sluggish gameplay and annoying and inconveniant controls. Your trailer is alot better than the original though!
It's good but those fags at IGN gave a half assed review and a piss poor rating of 3.5. 3.5?!?! Wtf were they thinking? They must have scraped the bottom of the barrel for a reviewer they could pay 25cents an hour to play it and review it. The lowest it should have gotten was a 7.5

its like silent hill, resident evil, and oblivion put together.
its a strategy game so you do have to think and its a little bit freaky (not scary but little kids might freak) the only thing that i say is kinda gay is that near the end you have to go kill a bunch of (roots of evil) and it takes for ever.. but the controles are not bad to me. 3rd person is cooler but first person is easier.

This game has no mission objectives (incase you miss all the craps the say during the in-game animation), the gameplay is too simple, you only have to walk around looking for items which you can use... then sleep, when you can't figure out what you need to do to get over with the mission... The most boring game ever!!!

I bought the game and I don't like it.You have to use fire to kill the zombies and when your fighting 10 zombies with a chair that can last 20secs or so with fire on it.Thats just not fair.So I'm stuck on that level and I have never touched the game since.

i obught this game and ignore the reveiws it is one of the best games i have played in a while evrybody complains about how it doesnt tell you what to do next but that makes it better because then you have the satisfaction of knowing u did it without help

There's quite a bit of bugs in the first "59th Street" drive scene, with character & environmental collisions. I personally, have not experienced any sort of frame rate issue.
The combining explosives feature is RAW! The inventory setup is alot different than most games.. the graphics are sick, achievements are easy.. i give it a 8 of 10!

Man, I rented this game yesterday and I can honestly say it is utter horse shit - terrible voice acting, sluggish gameplay and annoying and inconveniant controls. Your trailer is alot better than the original though!

I've heard it wasn't that great of a game unless you're a fan of Alone In the Dark. That's a shame really, it looked like it had lots of potential.

It's good but those fags at IGN gave a half assed review and a piss poor rating of 3.5. 3.5?!?! Wtf were they thinking? They must have scraped the bottom of the barrel for a reviewer they could pay 25cents an hour to play it and review it. The lowest it should have gotten was a 7.5

this game is fun...
its like silent hill, resident evil, and oblivion put together.
its a strategy game so you do have to think and its a little bit freaky (not scary but little kids might freak) the only thing that i say is kinda gay is that near the end you have to go kill a bunch of (roots of evil) and it takes for ever.. but the controles are not bad to me. 3rd person is cooler but first person is easier.

Yeah, I agree with you... This game has no mission objectives (incase you miss all the craps the say during the in-game animation), the gameplay is too simple, you only have to walk around looking for items which you can use... then sleep, when you can't figure out what you need to do to get over with the mission... The most boring game ever!!!
