does your gsp have a fast matabalism ? mine does , and shes very skinny. we cant get her to get fatter ! my gsp coughs alot too. most likely just kennel cough
That doesn't sound like kennel cough to me. I'm sorry to suggest this, but an abdominal xray might be a good idea, to check for splenetic hemangiosarcoma putting pressure on her lungs. I really hope it's just kennel cough, but my 12 y o GSP started that floof-floof with her breathing, and... Anyway, Sammy seems like a sweet girl. So does Emma. So do you, in fact. :)
Thanks for the post - we did get an x-ray last week and the consensus is that it's bronchitis, so she's still on antibiotics. Her eating and energy is good, just the cough persists, although it's loosening up. Appreciate your concern and kind words!

@slou - Good glad it's not serious. Beautiful doggy. What a sweet little girl. Nice heart warming video. We lost our Odie at 18-20 years of age on July 12, 2010. My nine year old grand daughter was quite upset. She was very close to Odie. We are rescuing another one. SNR - SPAY-NEUTER-RESCUE.

I am happy to see a 13 yo GPS. I had to put mine to sleep one month ago, and he was only 8. :(((((( / Take good care of her! She's a lovely old lady!
