Howay the lads--When I worked in Northumberland, I couldn't believe how proud everyone in the whole county (& Durham) too was of this group--even the 70-year-olds. Burdon ranked up there with Jackie Milburn and the Venerable Bede.

Starting with "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" until the original band broke up, he was very much an important part of The Animals' musical output. A major slight, in my opinion.
