  • Just Epic. The Animals are just epic.

  • Truely a classic!! Eric Burton is one of the greatest of all time.

  • Check out Eric Burdon - Rocky (1977) on You Tube. I remember it

  • Love the music, but they are all having a "Bad Hair Day"

  • Loved it when I was sixteen in the 60's and still love it now that I am back in my 60's.

  • am i the only one who sees the guy with the horns at 0:44!?

  • the 1 that voted song song...............WHAT?

  • one of best versions ever!

  • I remember Dad playing this song for me back in the spring / summer of 1994. I liked it then I LIKE IT NOW!

    MISS them good ole days...

  • see see rider AAAOOohh :)

  • thanks for posting this, havent heard this in like ten years

  • Chalice?c.c?? What the f*** are you on? How many cups did [poor] jesus drink out of in his life? Think they had meaning to him? do cups you drink out of have any magical force? what b.s.! And rap is the blues? Rap is just beats on beats. same crap for 20 + years. The blues is NOT like rap, you can't relate it because black people were involved. It went from ragtime on to emotions played by only a few, or one MUSICIAN, then evolved into rock,r&b. etc..Rap=words to beats! same thing, over & over.

  • ma meilleure crème anti-rides ! je regarde au moins 2 fois par semaine!

  • @leelabradaauto lol :) :) je vais essayer çà

  • Esto es una señora cancion!!

  • Chalice The chalice of Christian liturgy is the transcendental form of the cup. Related to the Grail, it frequently takes the form of two halves of a sphere placed back to back. In this, the lower part of the sphere becomes a receptacle open to the spiriuual forces, while the upper part closes over the earth, which it duplicates symbolically. CC rider

  • @divisorplot you may wanna take a step back from that stuff man if you keep reading about shit like that you start thinkin everything is related to it...

  • Great song :)

  • Great song, this song doesn't seem to get as much airplay as "House of the Rising Sun", "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "It's My Life"

  • " C.C. "

  • Howay the lads--When I worked in Northumberland, I couldn't believe how proud everyone in the whole county (& Durham) too was of this group--even the 70-year-olds. Burdon ranked up there with Jackie Milburn and the Venerable Bede.

  • Love this version, BUT with all due respect - Elvis OWNED this song.

  • @Phoenix7878 I totally agree.

  • @Phoenix7878 maybe so but eric burdon aint the one whose last big hit was on his face taking a header off the toilet cause he was a fat cholesterol filled slob

  • @MrModified1

Eric Who?? Exactly. You know, there's NO need for such a worthless and stupid reply. You got issues bud.

But hey, look on the bright side, maybe you'll end up taking a "header" a few stories higher yourself one day:)

    "MrModified1"......huh. You poor Ignorant Bastard.

  • @Phoenix7878 yes I do & one day I will.and as butt hurt as you get sounds like it was more than just his music you liked...& thats mr. ignorant bastard to you bitch

  • @MrModified1

you know, this could go on forever. But I have a life. Now you've resorted to childish gay insults? Man, I don't want to mess with u anymore! HAHAHA. What a sad ass sonofabitch u r.

  • @Phoenix7878 I realize that was low class & in very poor taste. For that I deeply apalogize to you.Best wishes to you & your family & again Im sorry.

  • @Phoenix7878 Mitch Ryder with the Detroit Wheels or Eric Burdon with the Animals? Who did a better version of this song in 1966?

  • @BBQFanNo1 Mitch & the Wheels is amuch better version BUT all in all I'm for the Animals & Eric for the overall body of work !

  • what idiot voted this song down? U MUST BE DERANGED. This is the best version of this song along with The King's version of 'aloha from hawaii' live.

  • Yeah The Original!!!!

  • gotta love the way they slide the guitars around in the back ground, man if u dont like this then u have no idea what blues soul or music is about

  • the greatest rock n roll singer of all time is singing this song, ERIC BURDON

  • @MyJellyJunglein1967 People will never learn will they? Rap isn't dog shit, it's just different. Especially as a fan of The Animals, I would have thought you would understand the blues. That's all rap is, a modern version of the blues. Mainstream stuff today is pretty bad, but mainstream stuff is almost always crap. Jazz was crap at first, then it was rock 'n' roll, now it's rap. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's bad.

  • Please Come Knockin Baby....Cause I'm Rockin......They Play Like Animals....Jenny Take A Ride...*

  • And now the Blues has come...

    Killer song !

  • All these years I thought it was CC rider. D'oh! Thought it was about someone who rode a motorcycle. Either way, great song.

  • By far the best version by the greatest rock ' n roll singer of all time Eric Burden.

  • @ledzeppelin27 Maybe a devil?

  • @SixtiesMusicLover I know it . We all know it. namely, it can be none other than : Darth moor !

  • @SixtiesMusicLover Eric's definitely been to the crossroads...

  • @ledzeppelin27 At 40, there is no question THAT is the devil !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of my favorite songs ever

  • i'm 60 yrs, when i hear see see rider i still get tears in my eyes. the best 60's rock and roll song i ever heard .those guys were great no more like them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cfab504

    Totally agree with you.....

  • Thanks !!!!!!!

  • OH GOD!!!I WAS 5 YEARS!!I love ERIC!!!

  • CD's change the original lineups. I have the original ALBUM.

  • Wrong album guys...wasn't released until after 1968.

  • @mickie1049 Right album, I HAVE the CD.

  • @SixtiesMusicLover the cd didn't exist until 1979. just saying

  • @SixtiesMusicLover yep, on "Animinalization" in 1966.

  • @SixtiesMusicLover Lol, pwnd :p thx for uploading!

  • @mickie1049 actually, this was released as both a single in 1966 and on the album "Eric Is Here" under the new band name Eric Burdon and the Animals. It was the first album with the group using this name

  • @mickie1049 actually, this was released as both a single in 1966 and on the album "Eric Is Here" under the new band name Eric Burdon and the Animals. It was the first album with the group using this name

  • I saw the Animals on their first U.S. tour and they kicked butt.

  • Really gutsy blues style...a hard sound...great build ups and syncopation. A Rock solid group...no hype. Tell it like is was...and is!

  • What chance do you think a short, ugly white guy with a bad compexion and fair voice would have making it big in today's music market?

  • @keydet72 Gee that depends, today they could give 10 pounds of makeup and use autotune like 98% of the fakes in Hollywood do now.

  • @keydet72 Ben Gibbard, Lead Vocalist in Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie. Pay attention to modern music without mindlessly idealizing the oldies...

  • @keydet72

with his voice, he'd change the silly stagnant tunes of today

but he is like 65 or something

find us another Eric Burdon and we'll rock and roll again!

  • @keydet72 Jeez. I know it is a matter of taste to some extent, but it looks to me like you got one out of four . . . he definitely is on the short side.

  • @keydet72

    He is not ugly.

  • he wasnt short fat back then...the complexion was just from the lsd we took...i had the lsd complexion too ( purple microdot),,,,,you ought to hear this song on some...it can last for months......he short and fat today...and still famous

  • @keydet72

They cared more about talent not looks

  • @keydet72

Looks: Average (but he needed a little help with his hair style at times)

    Voice: Good

Vocal Performances: Brilliant on average, and in this case: Perfect

  • @keydet72

Oh, and I like the tone color of Eric's voice.

Dark, and so appropriate for the various styles of music he chose to sing.

  • @keydet72 Racist crap - silly girl talk - one of the best voices in rock, it would not be ignored in todays music market or any other. just dig it - it's there. no need to worry about the kid stuff.

  • @keydet72 Lead singer of Coldplay. Not sure of his height but he's ugly as hell.

  • @keydet72

I dunno, Eric's prettier than Lady Gaga.

  • Fair and ugly? What!

    Uh uh, no!

  • The Animals are in a class distinction of themselves, just terrific. 5 Stars

  • Terrific.

  • @military911search

    Super .. :)))

  • Ohhhhh!!! what a babe he (EB) was.. bet he still is!Thanks for the most FANTASTIC music ! I burned many a calorie in the 60's tearing the floor up to your music!! Lead guitar solo great tooo!!! ~~<3

What an incredible band. Absolutely unique. Absolutely ... British

  • Ah man, road trip back to 1967. This is just plain good shit.

  • Love that! I;ve been looking for this song quite sometime, it's not on any of thier recent greatest hit album in Hong Kong, Thanks!

  • The best version. Love it!

Viva el Rock & Roll !!!!

  • This song totally rocks, today was the first time I've heard this song since around 2005, they've played this on an oldies station that sadly is no longer in existance

  • What's haemorrhage?

  • It's the discharge of excess blood.

  • When I was 9 or 10, I used to listen to this song on the radio every Saturday. But how did Dave Rowberry pass away?

  • I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Dave died of an ulcer haemorrhage.

  • One of the greated Rock N Roll songs ever! This song sent shivers of electricity down my spine the first time I heard it back in 1966. I still want a scream and dance when hear it now days. I will always love these guys. Dave Rowberry arranged it beautifully. We love you Dave. RIP

  • @MyJellyJunglein1967 Regarding Dave Rowberry: I think it really sucks that he wasn't included when The Animals were inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame. Starting with "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" until the original band broke up, he was very much an important part of The Animals' musical output. A major slight, in my opinion.

  • @bobbilse Yeah,I agree with you,I was totally pissed when I saw Dave Rowberry was not in the line up at the Rock N Roll Hall of Shame. But then what the hell do you expect from people who think dog shit like rap is music!

  • I heard this song at Walgreen's Muzak system. The intercom music. Working at Walgreens, songs like this one make my day joyous!

  • Hey you know it is a funny thing that I hear this song at a Walgreens in St Louis and somehow found the artist and song here - amazing!

  • I love this song. So this was one of a few blues songs that Eric Burdon sings with The Animals? I heard Eric used to be a part of The Animals. I love The House Of The Rising Sun too. Thanks sharing. :-)

  • My favorite song, with River Deep Mountain High. Eric Burdon is God!!!!
