dont get too excited people, this person put the real password in dictionary.txt.

dictionary.txt is just a text file with a list of possible passwords and this program wont actually get you into any wifi networks if you dont already have the password in the text file.

the program will then try to gain access with every password listed in the .txt file.

conclusion: useless, ubuntu is for noobs and 3vilmonkey is a dumbass

this program can and will get you into some access points using WPA.

some people are stupid and put the password as one common word. if that is the case the a dictionary file with hundreds of thousands of words can get you in.

tho its much eaiser to stick to WEP, can even crack that shit with a live CD in VMware.

Using dictionarys/wordlists is actually the only way to crack wpa/wpa2 encryption. Also you could use a wordlist generator like crunch and pipe its output directly to airecrack-ng.

@insx That hack was constructed, the method relies on the fact that the correct password exists in the dictionary file. Noone "comes up" with things here except at the step where you generate the dictionary. The cracking is basicly just testing all words from the dictionary against the wpa handshake,

first of all WPA is very hard to hack...the exact character and number combination must be on the dictionary. If a user has a very complicated password and it is not on the dictionary then it is impossible to get the key.
