Kariya in my opinion was the best back then in the nhl. His skating style was the smoothest ever, even today!

No way... Kariya is a great player hands down and in his prime one of the best but I'd still take a prime Selanne and a Prime Ovechkin over him... Personally I'd take Ryan Getzlaf over him because Getz is a lot grittier

@skylaars The thing Cindy has over Paulie is that Cindy's produced. He wins games, and gets points. Kariya could be one of the best players of his generation, but he was never a big point producer.

That being said: I still freaked everywhere when my Bluenotes finally signed him, and I hope to heaven we get him back this year

Maybe next olympics we hear about Teemu Pulkkinen, Mikael Grönlund and Toni Rajala, now juniors, maybe next superplayers :)
