i grew up watching Next Generation, love The Twilight Zone, like the original BSG series too, but it is so different from the new one that the only similarity is name. They are two completely different shows: one fills my void for cheesily awesome 70's sci-fi, and the other for incredibly awesome space battles.

The new one is a piece of shit soap opera set in space. It's just BSG in name ONLY, the new one is a...idk what the hell the new one is. I tried to watch it but might as well watch As The World Turns. The ships are ugly, the clothes don't fit a civilization that has FTL capability (where are the tunics?) and it's like 90210 meets Star Trek. And when they discovered Earth in Season 4 wayyyy before that i knew that they would find Earth like destroyed etc... it was so predictable. Ron Moore sucks!
Very clever, putting the original theme to the new series. The song was kinda choppy in the video but it still works. The new series is good but I still stand by my opinion that the original series is far supirior.
The NEW series of Battlestar Galactica pandering trash? Wow, that's a pretty strong remark. The show is actally beyond sci fi and beyond drama. It's very intense and it lacks a lotof the typical overdone chessiness nerds like you and I might be used to and enjoy. But it's very intellegent, I gave it try. You may like it, its an amazing show.
and I don't. I liked the cheesiness and I liked the humor. This show doesn't have it. It's just sex, drama, drama and oh more drama. It's just catering to what people now a days seem to think a TV show's gotta have to be entertaining.
The only thing good about the original show was the fighter uniforms, the kids robot dog, the theme, words like micron and secron and thats it. The new one may be too complicated for you. Give it another shot, its hella confusing but there is always a good twist, maybe too many I admit but highly thought out and intellectual all the same.

good idea, but you definitely need to work on the editing and soundtrack because they were both pretty choppy. either that or the convert to You Tube's down load process didn't take so well but nice try.
I love your idea. The video was really choppy, however the message comes across. The music is much more powerful and the video gives the intro a feeling of not showing the viewer everything; keeps it mysterious which lends a lot to the emotion of the viewer. Great idea.

Its a shame that they really needed to use the same name as it is sooo different.
Its far to grim for me and feels like watching any number of US cash cows, whereas the original was fresh and exciting!
The space batles are great, its the rest I cannot stand!

You do know that the original BSG barely even had FTL? Most of their fleet was only capable of sub-light speed...
And at least they found Earth.
