I will admit this guy is a good singer... but toshi's voice holds way more emotion for me, besides, it's the entire constellation of X that makes it one of the greatest ballads of all time.

I love both versions equally, X JAPAN's and this version, but I must say that this version is a bit easier to listen to sometimes because it's lower and smoother. I love them both^^ Yoshiki really is a genius though. freaking 3 octave voice range (that sounds good)and amazing songs. Ah, we love them both.

Rosinchen., i disagree on your comment regarding on toshi's voice.. Tears by The Trax was played at lower tone and lower chords.. it means that they made the original song Tears by X Japan EASIER..

right? imagine Toshi sing this song the same as the tone and chords used by The Trax.. it will be just a piece of cake for Toshi..^^

it depends what you mean by better. Jay Kim has a smoother, more soothing voive, but Yoshiki has a four-octave voice range, AND has a sexy british-japanese accent.
