This is how I feel about facebook, lame. I have a facebook profile, but seriously, wonder why. I probably visit it once a month. I did today because of topical info, but normally, it's months between when I have time.

It isn't even needed for teens. Facebook is for 20 somethings. There is no other way to find people from high school. There is no other way to keep in touch with friends after they all graduate and move away. Making friends after college is hard. You can use facebook to ask someone for their address so you can invite them to your wedding.

I didn't mean to imply that it was for teens, but that I would have more time to bother with facebook if I were. And if facebook is for 20-somethings, then how did I connect with several classmates after my 30th HS reunion?

The difference is, I guess, my "peers" rarely post, and neither do I. Maintaining careers and civic duties, raising kids, (mine is only a preteen), keeps us busy enough. Our lives are already full of distractions. YouTube is my tv; I have time for 3 or 4 minute clips.
