Hey :) I am one of your students currently (Jennifer D.) and when you said you were a musician, I became interested in finding a performance. This was simply beautiful! I loved it!!!!
Thanks for the compliment! Meredith here.... and to answer your question, no we didn't collaborate on the writing, we just worked together to come up with the arrangement.
There is a land without path, footprints and past. But true, normaly there is ever a spoor of live in the past. It seems 4:33 that Mary is not sure if the happening is over or not? haha ...
I can see why you and Mary were drawn together. Both of you seem to break from the typical "Verse-Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus" schemes, and rather reach into some experimental forms. Nevertheless I can hear your Celtic heritage in your lilting, haunting melodies. Wonderful lyrics, and excellnt performances! BTW - I wanna steal that sweet sounding Guild of yours! ~Jon
Meredith, very nice song and performance. 5*****s all the way.
I've followed Mary for over a year and I am so glad that you have found each other. I am looking forward to more great collaborations from the both of you. God Bless. Ray
The first time I saw this was on Mary Win's website. I'm glad to see it on youtube so I can tell you how brilliant you are! The two of you compliment each other very well.
Why am I not surprised Mary is playing the bass? Mary, did you learn the bass before the guitar? Now that I think about it, that would explain some of your exotic approaches to rhythm playing.
Meredith, this is a fabulous song. The guitar is heavenly and your voice is angelic. When I clicked the link I was hoping for a Dire Straits cover, but now I'm glad it wasn't.
The song is so captivating that I didn't even realize until late that it starts with the chorus. Love the ending.
Oh, and please go to my channel and watch me singing "My heart will go on" from Titanic and tell me what you think.

Hi Merredith -
You gals make a good team. As I've come to expect from Mary's writing, the lyrics are very thought provoking. Did you ladies colaborate writing them ?

well, you could say that 'kingdoms have fallen... divide and fall' is the chorus, with the rest being verses, but it's still a great song.
