The first plane that took off should of had flaps down this would give him a shorter take off run. I speak German and understand what the pilot said, you were not shot down by a Me163 Komet but nice try though. Phantom pilot, of course it was going to crash, you have the dihedral upside down by the tail end and phantoms didnt have props, they were jets. Pour that bronco into a box and sell it on ebay as an artf kit, some tosser will buy it.....stick to airfix lads ;)

After WW1, all Artillery research in Germany went undergraound.The Tiger was used in desert war in 1942. Until then, the P3 was crap. German tank turrets were hand cranked, but the allies had hydrauliic and electric motors for turret traverse. The Stg 44 is great, but the BAR and Thompson were too. The MP 38 was crap. The Brits patented jet engine in '33, and built the Comet . America built the T33 jet. The allies focussed on air power. The true winners of mass scaled land wars.

The first crash had nothing to do with wind speed. When will people realize that once the airplane is flying the wind speed is irrelevant, only air speed. It looks like the control system (ailerons) weren't working correctly, or the pilot didn't know how to fly the plane, and it side slipped into the ground.

Not totally true. Say you're flying at 40mph IAS into a 20mph headwind. Now turn around 180 degrees and you have a 20mph tailwind making your IAS 20mph. This change drastically affects the airflow over the wings resulting in loss of lift.  Unless you have enough power to accelerate quickly, you're going to stall.

A plane is sitting stopped on a runway with a 85kt headwind. The airspeed is still going to be indicated on the instruments as 85kts, yet the ground speed is 0. Also, assuming the engine is running and it is a small plane, it will fly with no takeoff roll and can actually hover in place. Once airborne, however, if it were able to turn around the airspeed will drop to 0 very rapidly resulting in a stall.

Yes you are. What you seem to forget is, that the plane doesn't change direction in a split second, it flies while making the 180 degree turn. What you don't understand has been explained many times because people have thought just like you, that a slow flying plane, i.e. PA18 etc., if flying in high winds would drop out of the sky when turning from flying upwind to down wind.
