This is what real comedy & talent is all about! Not this crap that's on TV now! These people actually had to have some talent to get into the business. This was good, clean comedy too. I hate watching TV now because it's all about sex & it's just not funny!
Loved Carol Burnett show - grew up watching that all the time. They had some of the funniest skits. You don't get this kind of fun and clean comedy anymore. It's a thing of the past.

MLA Heather Klimchuk of Alberta Works was Lougheed's secretary. Check out a few of her moves. Make note of the Alberta Response Model. She paid for the Royal Alberta Museum How Many times?!!!

The great thing about Tthe Carol Burnett Show, was that although it was broad sketch-comedy, these people were great actors that gave real personality to their performances. I have known a few Mrs. Wigginses in my life...
My husband and I miss The Carol Burnett Show. Shared some with daughter, she agrees --- GREAT SHOW! Wish we could get the FULL show on DVD's. Comedy was GREAT 'back then'... memories... sweet memories...
I'm 16, and let me tell you--NOTHING on TV today, not even SNL, even begins to compare to the Carol Burnett show. I wish they played re-runs of it on TV today!
I miss that show. I laughed thru the whole video. I used to watch it every week. How could they even get thru the skits without cracking up. Love this
Anybody interested in 91 episodes of the syndicated whow "Carol Burnett and Friends"--which features sketches from The Carol Burnett show--can PM me or send me an e-mail. dan611logan@yahoo.com This is an 8 DVD set and is just $20, which includes shipping.
@cyphrinfinity who would NOT like this??? These were the days of good comedy. It was one of my favourite skits when I watch it in the 70s; however my tastes have changed somewhat since then. I do have to say the Tim Conway skits are my favourite ones NOW - the way he talks on this is so hilarious lol!!!
When I was much younger I used to watch this show. All of her show was good... and usually funny. But this part.... Mr. Tudball and Mrs. Wiggins... was my all-time favorite. Till NOW... and I am quite old at this point.... I have NEVER seen anything on modern TV that is as funny as these skits were................
My Mom and I used to love watching this show, and these characters, along with the old man and Harvey, and the little guy that Tim played on his knees. The funny and sad thing about this is that we didn't realize what happy, good times it was back then. Sure miss it!
omg. lmao. I was looknig at the translation BETA captions.... and it said @ 7:48 "it is a different ending like Pat Buchanan" HAHAHA WHO IS PAT BUCHANAN?!?! THAT'S HILARIOUS.
My favorite comedy show growing up. TV was actually good back then until the networks got cheap and now all we have is this reality crap so they don't have to pay talented actors. The quality of TV sucks today!!
Mrs. Hawiggins must have been what started the "dumb blonde" jokes! Man, she was funny. My favorite skit was Eunice on Family and this second. Why were all the good TV shows and music back in the 80s?
It's weird, but I am still completely hot for Mrs. Wiggins. I think it was the big hair and how her butt stuck out when she walked...somehow that character still revs my motor.
They did film live, but it was common to use a laugh track to "enhance" the audience reaction. They also used people who would come in and sit in the audiences of shows and laugh for the same reasons. Johnny had one on the Tonight show one time interviewing her. Her laugh was outrageous.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Maybe you meant prejudiced against the opposite sex, or "sexist" viewers, based on this clip? I just watched this whole (boring) video & didn't find anything racial at all. Unfortunately calling people you know nothing abt "racist old idiots" can be very prejudiced & racist itself.
I'm 39 (not old) & I grew up watching this stupid show because there wasn't much to choose from back then. Yet, I am proud to be one of the least racist people one will ever meet. God bless.
My friends and I used to do the Carole Burnett Show on our tape recorder and do all the characters! I did a mean Mr. Tudball accent for a 10 year old girl!
Oh heavens thank you so much for having these clips! I grew up watching the re runs of this show! I usually laughed so hard at times I almost stopped breathing.
Mr.Tudball and Mrs. Wiggins. another favourite comedy skit of mine from Carol Burnett's show. but you've got to admit one thing. and this is: that a woman who applies for or works at any secretarial job in this manner will probably NOT be very successful and will probably get FIRED within only one or maybe two days. But a secretary like Mrs. Wiggins will certainly bring a lot of laughs and maybe dates with other men. She was very attractive even though she was a dumb blonde of a secretary.
I saw the first Tudball/Wiggins sketch in 1976 when I was in the hospital recuperating from major abdominal surgery. I had to turn the TV set off, because I was afraid I was going to rip my stitches out from laughing so hard!
Mrs. Wiggins would've been fired long time ago...she was hilarious though...Mr. Tudballs Toupe - too funny. I believe Bob Mackie designed all the clothes and gowns for the show, he did an excellent job, even on the ones that Carol wore playing Eunice dressed up and the gowns being too short and ill-fitted. Carol is brilliant.
When comedy was created ,Carol Burnett showed them what they were doing wrong,,,,some shows go on far too long ,and some shows THE CLASSICS, are taken far too soon.....Rock On Carol Burnett
Our family used to watch The Carol Burnett Show all the time, and this skit with Mrs. Wiggins was one of the best! There were many good shows on television in those days.

I cancelled my cable TV 15 years ago because it took too much time to search through crap to find the rare diamond that was so commonplace in the Carol Burnett Show days. And I could see the trend where lack of talent was starting to be rewarded and celebrated.
In the past decade and a half, I've been curious to know if I'd missed anything. But judging from the near universal "they don't make 'em like this anymore" comments on the Carol Burnett vids, I think I've got my answer.
my mom likes the one where she walks real slow and he says "don't be makin a spark by rubbing them legs together to fast by walking fatser" or something XD
lovebug, the show was around for 11 years. that's more then a lot of shows have been around. i wish that it was around longer too but shows have to end at some point. i love the show and i find this skit very funny, tabstarkin. add more mr. tudball and mrs wiggins!
