if all the ricer drivers ever took a ride in a true muscle car...yea their boats, yea their heavy, but if they would just take a ride in one after being thrown back in the seat a few times and gettin sideways just from sheer tourque...they would be hooked on good ol american v8s and iron!
This stuff is great to me. I was 18 in 1966 and it was an incredible time. A young person who had a good part time job and some savings for a down payment could get into some neat cars. They didn't handle and stop very well but in a straight line... they were fun!
But don't feel left out. Today's cars pretty much surpass muscle cars in every way except for the affordability and the cool factor.
See, Everyone Cares about Fuel economy and size. What we just seen here was the Peak of Muscle. Dodge (In My Opinion) Still makes the Greatest Muslce cars. They are Big, Fast, and not very Technological. Thats what i observed as of current times. But here, Everyone played fair and Made a Muscle car like it should.
P.S. The Charger Is today's Nearest Muscle car, The 'Stang isnt. Its a PONY Car. as well as Camaro. As of the Challenger, Well, Its too big to have a saddle. Making it the only
Brings back memories. Especially carrying an extra "Ballest Resistor" in the mopar. Didn't look like he changed it, but I think he was messing with it. Used to have the same problem in my 1967 GTX
The very best footage ive ever seen but the music NEEDS CHANGED how about thunder express by MC5 they are even the same vintage and the song is perfect! Speed King By Deep Purple or Highway Star By Deep Purple !hell yea!
Wow, a time when even moms grocery getter was American made. Sorry to say this but even though you had such wonderful Detroit iron in this video that rap music did keep us in todays time, and really didn't allow us to remember the "Good ol days" . ZZ Top, Bob Seger, or Creedance Clearwater Revival would of set the mood perfectly. I've got a 66 GTO - balanced 389 tripower,11.1,Ram Air IV cam,headers,4 speed, 4.33 posi. Best time is a 12.85 at 113 mph.
God, this could of been THE coolest street racing video on You Tube. To be honest, your choice of music ruined this. I would of loved to watch this with "Born to Run" or Racin in the street" by Bruce Springsteen, or something along those lines. You would of really captured how things were in the 70's street racing days. A job pretty well done despite your taste in music.
So it was already cooked and u dont wanta know and I knock on the door and she said "Who's there" and I said Jack and she said Jack who? and I said Jack be nimble ,Jack be quick ,Jack jumped over the candle stick . ...Yeah smoke um if u got um its an eighty mile run get up in the morning and have u some fun
is not easy to make those big 3400 lbs plus cars launch, making those dinosaurs run low 10s in a 1/4 is quite an achievement and a site to see and hear, miss those days, thank you for the vid,
its so funny how honda's are the young generation parallel to mid size chevys back in the day it used to be "oh yeah its a 350 blah blah" now its "oh yeah its a NA b16 blah blah"
Its sad the young guys now days miss out on the ground pounding hp and torque from cars like these. The think a loud fart can exhaust means you have power ):
man im 17 and building up a 69 Formula-S Barracuda with a 340 and a four speed! I know what your talkin bout brotha! Cars today aint real cars!! Get to get our other Barracuda runnin too :)
damn son!! our Barracuda is a 340SB, 10.5-1 comp. 4 speed with hurst comp. shifter. 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gears. i could tell you every tiny thing about the car if you asked haha. that charger sounds like a monster though man!
Wow...that was cool. I can relate for sure. Guess that's why I love my GN. Still love REAL power!! I wish I still had my 68 Charger and 74 Challenger. Hopefully someones enjoying them today, lol.
I remember these days my dad purchased a 1969 Roadrunner "B5 Blue "new in 69 the sweetest machine I have ever rode in.Man i miss those days

What? A Year ago this video was in like 720p!

A late 60`s early 70's rock'n roll tune would make this video allot more realistic....
PS To bad the Road Runner has a modern steering wheel...it does give the video away......Great video anyhow!
