@MlkeTee u can jailbreak your MC models but it would be a tethered jailbreak and everytime you would wanna turn your ipod on you would have to go through the DFU mode everytime

4.2.1 jailbreak IS TETHERED!!! That means when you reboot your iDevice, you have to plug it into your computer and then it will work. Hope this helps!!

@zizo0318 use spirit, seriously SSOOO much easier, it works great. Everythingapplepro has a vid on it anyway. I used it, i restored my ipod by accident and now i'm on 4.1 firmware and have to do this . its up to you if you want to restore and update or use spirit, SSOOO much easier ;) hope this helped
