rotary engines are much like turbine jet engines, because they move in a more natural motion(more like a circle pattern) as opposed to the up and down motions that a piston engine makes. therefore, it has much more potential to increase its output- why do you think that tiny stock 1.3L wankel they put in rx-8s produces 238 Bhp?
