Bitte erst selbst recherchieren, dann motzen. Have a nice day!
Great video. I woke up and realized as a cop (investigative mind) that 9-11 was an inside job. I moved from job to job until I eventually took the leap and moved to Germany. I see everyday what you speak about in this video. Germans love saving money. Germans are very practical. Germans protect the environment, Germans are closing all nuclear power plants, Germany will be 80% energy independent in 2050 using renewable energy, the list goes on and on and on. German quality is world known.
Well said .. As a 3rd Generation German American it does my heart some good to see Germany prosper. Balance in all things, Investment in thier people & future. Long term gains over short term investments & profits. Go Germany !!!
Thanks very much for posting these 2 videos, I love your easy going no nonsense style.
It actually brought a tear to my eye, its good to know that some people somewhere still have old school common sense, and are capable of thinking in long term time spans.
People always called germans boring, and maybe being sensible sometimes appears boring, but in the long run i would choose success over failure every time, regardless of how boring it may appear.
Nice vid... I also find the german workethic so strange.. We in Belgium are not so.. Maybe a (positive) leftover from before the great war.. I just watched the vid next to here (Hitler on the german economy) he kinda explains it like you but then a bit more in his shop
Germans who are working are better than Germans who want to make war!
It´s better for us Germans... and for the whole world anyway.
After WWII our country was a complete wasteland of ruins. But after two decades we build up our cities very properly and became Europe´s ecomomic powerhouse.
tolles video. Was sag ich, tolle Reportage. @garryentropy. Schick es mal der BBC. Vielleicht berichten die dann mal ein wenig entspannter über unser kleines Deutschland. Für die Engländer ist Deutschland ja seit neustem wieder die Wurzel allen Übels.
I agree with you that it is the small and middle size companies that make the big difference. I work for a small company (just over 300 employees) and our boss even helps us when there is to much work. We have a super atmosphere in our firm and that is because we have a super boss that looks after his employees, I think that is the recipe for success.
in england lives the people to 25-30 percent in 1 city (London 13mill metropolregion, England 50 mill.)
in germany lives the people to 25-30 percent in the 50 biggest citys! Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hannover, Düsseldorf.....
Think about that, we germans piss of Berlin we dont make Berlin to to German heart, Like England did it with London the last hundrets years, we make the whole county to our heart!
only 30 percent of germans live in cities over 100.000 people. so 70 percent live not in big cities France Inhabitions = 65mil. Paris city with metropolregion= 10mil. so 15 percent of the france people live in 1 city, england=50mil people london= 13 mill people 26 percent of england people live in 1 city Berlin 3,5 mil people Germany 82mil. people so under 5 percent from the germans live in the biggest german city. so we maked a area-wide Powerhouse!!!
@TheModernMystic I disagree with your conclusion, that the world would be a poorer place if the US went all export crazy. I mean of course there will always be creditors and debters, but increasing competion by focusing on export should make the world richer. If creditors used their surplus to invest long term instead of short consumption or speculation, and debters focused on understanding the demands of the creditors, then perhaps a natural cycle between creditors and debters could occur.
Or perhaps it because Germany politically controls a Europena Union which is 4 times bigger than itself and can therefore steer 450 million people to it's benefit.
@stevo728822 first u need to have the money to do this.and u can see that we dont steer anything otherwise we would`ve bail out all the bankrupt countries instead of pumping billions of german tax money in it...
@TheModernMystic my reply wasn't intended to be sarcastic it was sincere, I am not an expert just the man on the ground looking at stuff trying to make sense of it all, and in keeping with the video image it seems to boil down to the old proverb The higher a monkey climbs, the more he shows his behind.
I taught in a Further Ed College and watched the bricklaying, plastering, joinery, plumbing and welding depts close in the last 15 years. Motor Vehivle was looking weak when I left. 'Made in England' - I hunted for a bandsaw for 5 years to get an old one with that badge and I was delighted when I did about 2 weeks ago. I have 2 cars, guess what country of origin...Germany. All my big kitchen appliances are German. Are we too proud to learn from them?
@garryentropy First, I love your YT name with "entropy" in it.
Secondly, you are so right about money: people need to start thinking and valuing things in absolute physical terms - energy, time, longevity, sustainability, total waste - and quality of life.
Thirdly, even Germany cannot survive finite oil and Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW), unless she is making revolutionary changes right now in her economy to get off fossil fuels.
@garryentropy My bad: I meant to emphasize (obviously, you showed many awesome solar and wind power projects) the fact that all the electricity in the world won't power farm equipment, cars and boats unless we have electric cars and boats and farm equipment. (I mean for countries in general. I know Germany is land-locked, so my mentioning boats doesn't apply to Germany, obviously.)
@goodagofilms The money doesnt matter as its only a symbol for the value of the factorys, the plant, and the knowhow which are not going to suddenly evaporate into thin air even if the Euro does.If you have a wheelbarrow full of worthless money you can always sell the wheelbarrow.
@goodagofilms I am sure he wasn´t really meaning an actual wheelbarrow!^^lol
Btw good point on the many small and middle size companies in Germany being the engine of Germany´s economy. That seems to be exactly what is missing in most other western countries nowadays.
The US has by far the most big companies in the world, but many of it´s stuff is outsourced and doesn´t really benefit the US anymore.
@goodagofilms at least Germany will have a future, they'll make more things. These other economies with massive debts and false economies will fall and have no way to get back out unless they drastically reinvent themselves.
