Engine 4960 ran this past weekend using waste vegetable oil instead of diesel, and it ran great! I have a video on my channel from Saturday night's "Photography Run", and as soon as I get a new Firewire cable, I'll be getting an even better video of Sunday night's runby.

It ran great over the weekend, and don't be surprised if 29 is converted to vegetable oil for next year as well. You'll probably see steam quite a bit next summer. Not full-time, but it will be there.

Its sucks that they ended steam on the GCR, and engine 29 was fully restored not too long ago.

I cant believe they stopped running steam!!! Hopefully the 29 and 4960 will find new and better homes.

Sadly their staying on the GCRY.

At least the GCR is steaming up 4960 this september for their 20th B-Day and plan to use them on special occasions.

Maybe someday they'll return to regular service.

The Railroad is for tourists... the train you see in the video was just a test train to make sure everything works properly.
