Summit traxxas knows because you control your mouse with your right hand, and is you watch a vid, youll (almost automatically) support (i dont know how you call that in english) your head. And you dont use your left hand.. so.

Its the same as saying "Thumbs up if your tapping your foot" at a music video...

You cant just click where you did because then it moves the center then once I move the center, I move to move the sphere, move the center to the center, then put the sphere back because I DONT KNOW HOW TO FUCKING MOVE THE CENTER WITHOUT MOVING THE SPHERE

I will throw myself into Blender learning soon and first I need to stuff my head with modeling routines like this, mugs, forks, ants etc. to get a grasp of standard and desirable workflows as I'm completely unfamiliar with 3D graphics. It's kind of how you have to learn layers before learning GIMP and learn how vector graphics works before you learn Inkscape.

@autoxpilotxoff You have to change the mode to edit mode. And then when you're done change it back to object mode. It should be on the bottom tool bar.

When its a font you can modify the text whatever you want. When its a mesh you can't. To me this is an excellent totorial. It clearly shows how you need to do the basics.

@scurvysnipes, Make sure when you add text, it's in a visible area and nothing is blocking its view. Once you see the default text, {Tab} into edit mode, and then you can began to edit your text. (Edit text before trying to convert into a mesh)

Great tutorial - I have a slight issue, when doing the shift w and bending the text around the object, the ends of the text do not line up. The start letter is slightly higher than the end letter. Sort of like placing a cut in a metal washer and bending one end up and one end down. I hope this clarifies my problem.

@vidxyzguy You may not have been in top view. It is important to always set your view with the number pad to be sure it is exact. Even 1 degree off will effect your 3d objects being added or changed.

I had the same problem. In the vid you see that the guy has his text below the sphere. If you get your text above the sphere by pressing numpad6 or 4 a few times in top view and then stretch, your text doesnt get backwards.
