  • @Necromankas

    Hi.

Install a new version of ubuntu, the 10.04

For example google it and downaload and burn.

Personally i like Kubuntu more than Ubuntu.

They are both linux but Kubuntu is based on KDE.

You should try Kubuntu, i recommend. =D

  • What do you type after $ cd ~/Desktop/

on the video?I've extracted the folder gnomenu on desktop, and I tried all, but the terminal says: No such file or directory.

and how do you became the terminal in the menu when you click the "right mouse click"?

  • hey i installed gnomenu and i need HELP getting slickness to work. i tried the thing were u can be root and move those files but i had to make the theme folder cuz it wasnt there, can u plz help man

  • slickness theme for gnomenu or slickness theme for your gnome desktop?

  • I have another question. Do you know if it is possible to put GnoMenu on the desktop itself instead of locked inside a taskbar?

  • Have you installed it properly? Compiled it?

  • I believe I did, unless that is a step not covered in the video. The last line in my terminal says "Makefile: GnoMenu installed"

  • try rebooting..

  • Duh! That worked. Thanks

  • I followed your tutorial. For some reason it does not show up in the menu when I click add to panel

  • what do you put in the terminal, please reply

  • if you are repeating x0xsnowx0x than i was just browsing to the folder gnomenu for eg:

    $ cd ~/Desktop/gnomenu

gets you to the folder "gnomenu" on your desktop where you can install and compile gnomenu. First you've to extract the contents of the archive to gnomenu on the desktop.

  • Hi, I'm new to Ubuntu and I'm still learning to operate the Terminal.

I downloaded the menu from launchpad but when it came to typing the commands into the terminal I couldn't hear what you said.

Could you please write them in a reply to me? Thanks.

  • From 2:30 - 2:43 you say something.

It's not "sudo make install" because that comes next.

Please tell me what it is you say between those times.
