  • can you use this method for Harris hawks?

  • @mastainventa Yes but what are you trying to accomplish?

  • my hawk doesn't seem to want to hunt birds but she has had a pidgin but that's all only birds she will go for is pheasant and partridge

  • Kiting a hawk is the wrong tool to accomplish what your after.

  • what would you do as i can find no reference to this in my books? she only seems to want to go for large pray and is afraid of nothing she even nails hares but im finding it a problem where birds are concerned she wont give flight to anything smaller than partridge only pidgin but even with pidgin she will only nail one if it breaks cover within a few feet of me

  • @mastainventa it's because you feed it, keep it hungry for about 3-4 days and you will see. Good luck.

  • So who is that in the video Fred?

  • I thought it was you Paul....putting your bird up again...lol.

  • @HAWKMASTERUK Brian, Paul and me

  • Are u back in the states Fred?

  • Yes, I'm back.

  • And Fred-its spelt "peregrine" ;)

  • No it's not is spelt pergrimie

  • Nice video! Kite training is fantastic for fitness but alsio good for recovering errant hawks who might stray but will see a kite from a long way off and come in for the bait.
