Just a tip for all guys. When you work with opacity mask, all your layers will be hidded and won't be able to see it on the layers pannel or edit it. As soon as you release the opacity mask, again you'll be able to see or edit your layers, alright?
I'm saying this because first time I did, when I went to my layers pannel, suddently all layer were gone and desperately I started to wonder: WHERE EVERYBODY IS??
@jrbhbr Thanks for elaborating on this. Good point on the "disappearing" layers hehe. I too had the same thought, when I first started working with opacity masks in Illustrator.
It's really a great, great tip! I had to mask a graphic as we do in Photoshop, but using clipping maks was not working for me. But after this tip, I touched the sky and found the answer!!!!
