  • Boner is big business's nigger!

  • The stimulus money has launched Connecticuts Green Economy and it has become the fastest growing sector in the state. We have such rapid growth we cannot fill the positions and cannot train peoplepfast enough. It will become the same in each state with Energy Conservation Rebate Programs and every state has incentive and rebate programs. Its great to be alive and watch Republicans Cry failure when its such a great success

  • This guy is not our friend.

  • Trillions of dollars in debt, placing our children and grandchildren in more debt than we'e ever seen...thats not too friendly.

Obama has racked up more debt than ALL presidents COMBINED.....thanks for mortgaging our childrens future.

  • The Democrats believed Saddam had WMDs & needed to be disarmed, even BEFORE Bush was elected

    YouTube search: "Democrats Hypocrisy Iraq"

  • Clinton said a year or two ago that he thought Iraq had WMDs the whole time.

How about voting for people who are for smaller government? It's amazing how the stimulus bill got railroaded through, especially when not a single person in the House had read it. Democrats helped push through Bush' 700 billion plan more than Republicans did.

I'd rather have more Libertarians in there, but the current Republicans at least look to be on the right path again. And a handful of Dems are good too.

  • jramztucson, wrong this problem started with carter,1 term, then:In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act, which put added pressure on banks to lend in low-income neighborhoods. Before the Republicans took control in the 1996 elections. Where do you get your info? SNL?

  • No, The Glass Steagall Act, which was partially repealed in 1980, and then in 1999, was what caused the Bank Deregulation. That is a fact. The Community Reinvestment Act contributed to the housing bubble, but it was not the complete cause. There were many contibuting factors. (just like any situation) But the banks being deregulated by repealing The Glass Steagall Act was what allowed this to be possible. Even my Dad, a die-hard Republican, knows that.

  • T.A.R.P. 3.0 .....Comming soon by a president near you

  • Democrats bad - republicans good - Boehner a nice guy... what exactly does this video wish to inform us about? Almost four minutes of pointless blah-blah and no arguments given whatsoever. What a piss poor video.

  • Iraq-War? What are fighting for?

LIES! All of the elections have been knowingly fradulent, basically appointments and payoffs by US officials & not real elections at all. Cheney's company (of which he still holds shares and made MILLIONS off of the war) Haliburton and Lockheed Martin profitted HUGE during the war and so did Donald Rumsfeld. The whole thing was a huge money-making scheme, and they played on all of our fears.

  • jramztucson:

Idiot --- The Democrats believed Saddam had WMDs & needed to be disarmed.......even BEFORE Bush was elected

    YouTube search: "Democrats Hypocrisy Iraq"

  • So you're referring me to a YouTube search for a fact check? Wow, and I'm the idiot? During the Clinton Administration, sanctions were applied to Iraq because of the fact that they were trying to obtain WMD. The simple fact that they were completely BROKEN as a nation is the reason why they weren't able to ever completely develop them. Everyone knows that.

  • Bush went into Iraq for several reasons but it was not solely for the reason of WMD. If Clinton had viable intelligence showing that they had them, he would've gone in there. You should read "Bush at war, Plan of attack, and The war within"-all by Bob Woodward, one of the two investigative reporters who uncovered the Watergate Scandal during the Nixon administration. (You do know how to read, right?) You'll find out the truth about your beloved Bush and Cheney & what fools he's taken you for.

  • jramtucson:

Uh....excuse me. I was referring you to a clip of the Democrats in their own words...

(you do know how to listen & use common sense, right?)

I believe it is you who needs to discover the truth & come to the realization that your party is pathetic & corrupt

  • Clinton bombed Iraq for a week (ironically starting on the eve of his impeachment vote) because Saddam booted the inspectors. They never returned to Iraq for the rest of his term in office, all the while the dems claimed Hussein not only had wmd's, but was working on nukes. Not one of them thought Bush lied until we went in and found nothing. Hindsight is a 20/20, eh?

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."

    Al Gore, 9/23/2002

  • And they did find evidence of uranium, biological & chemical weapons. BUT not weapons of Mass Destruction, which are NUCLEAR MISSLES. No one's debating he was a bad guy. But if the Bush Administration hadn't been so incompetent and corrupt, we would have been OUT OF THERE A LONG TIME AGO! And we most likely would not be in the economic situation that we are in right now.

  • Do you see yet how ignorant & brainwashed you are?

It might do you some good to lay off the MSNBC

  • Actually, I'm not brainwashed & ignorant. I don't watch MSNBC. I mostly watch CNN, because they are the least biased news station. My information comes from books and articles of knowledgeable people.

And I was mostly criticizing the way that the Bush Administration handled the war. I thought it was pretty funny that in a recent EXIT interview he said the incorrect intelligence re. the Iraq WMD was "disappointing". That's nice and regretful.

  • jramztucson:

You're referring to "books" that obviously can be biased, yet I refer you to clips with the lying Democrats in their own words & you bash. LMAO!!

Yes, wouldn't it be great if we would've known going in the real truth about WMDs. Obviously, Saddam wasn't trustworthy & we couldn't take chances after 9/11. If we had, and something happened, you would be typing something totally different. Bush was not God you know

Bottom line - Democrats are liars & corrupt

  • Um these "books" that I'm referring to are actually accounts directly FROM the Bush Administration, in their own words, because they let Bob Woodward into the circle because of what a distinctive journalist he is. You're so stupid. I'm sorry. Please don't respond to my posts anymore. I can't waste my time on people that depend only on YouTube for their info. Anyone that is intelligent and objective knows what this war was really about. You're too ignorant to even attempt this conversation.

  • LMAO!!!

Again, the YouTube video are of the corrupt, lying Democrats IN THEIR OWN WORDS!!

What part of that can you not grasp?

You're so incredibly brainwashed & ignorant that it's actually comical

  • The only thing comical here is you and your support of the joke of the GRAND OLD PARTY, Tink!

  • In case anybody forgot, we've been involved in a joke of a war in Iraq for 6 years now. What have we accomplished? Nothing. There were no WMD, and we completely destroyed Bahgdad, and the Bush Adminstration is so incompetent that can't even rebuild it. So we have wasted thousands of our troops' lives, and thousands of Iraq civilian's lives for nothing. And the Bush Administration tries to pretend like we have "accomplished" democracy there?

  • I wonder if they forght this hard when GW Bush gave the same amout to private bankers

  • The reason why we are in the mess is that Democrats insisted that all people have access to housing no matter what their economic status is. Forced Freddie and Fannie Mac to give out very risky mortgages...and what do you know, they defaulted on their house. So don't blame this on Bush.

  • Um, actually there are many more reasons than that. Number 1.) Republicans had control of Congress and they could have regulated Fannie & Freddie when the Housing Crisis was at it's worst but they didn't. 2.) Look up the Glass-Steagall Act. This was a banking regulation bill that was put in place in 1933, Part of it was repealed in 1980 (Reagan) and then during 1999 when the Republicans were the majority in Congress. Clinton couldn't veto it because it had too many GOP votes.

  • Obama is from my home state and we think he's an idiot!

  • Comment removed

  • Though it's amusing & satisfying to see the GOP sabotage themselves, I'm burning with curiousity on why you still don't get it?Not supporting this bill, u are reflecting what citizens already perceive of GOP- cold, corporatist & fear-mongering.The '08 election not enough of a wake up call?Obama is far too intelligent for you to out-maneuver.Look at what he's accomplished in such a short amount of time. You are NO match for the man. Give up while youre still, wellemployed.

    An amused Democrat

  • By not supporting this bill, republicans are allowing the democrats to hang themselves when the bill fails, just as FDR's new deal failed.

  • Really? And why don't you explain EXACTLY how The New Deal Failed? Because pretty much all of the economists agree that it worked.

  • Let me explain.

Federal Reserve is established. Economy goes into slight corrective recession. Fed freaks out, overreacts, and errantly tries to instill liquidity into the banks so that they can keep interest rates low. Instead of correcting, the economy gets fucked (See black tuesday). FDR blames the gold standard, takes us off of it, and fucks us some more. Then he gets the New Deal pushed through, which 2 UCLA economists just recently reported LIKELY PROLONGED THE DEPRESSION by 10 yrs.

  • Reagan didn't stand up for the American taxpayer when he oversaw a tripling of the debt. Republicans didn't during W's term as it doubled.

Tax cuts do not work as fast as efficient government spending. No-bid contracts to Blackwater and Halliburton don't stimulate. Rebuilding America's infrastructure does stimulate. Putting money into programs that will educate and serve Americans does stimulate. I'm young and I'll be paying for your past spending, so don't get all high and mighty about it now.

  • If government spending is so god damn effective, explain why the french economy is fucked, with their government spending over 40% of their GDP...

    Explain that, economic expert...

  • First off, I don't know what you're mad about. There's no need to swear. Secondly, the French have completely universal health care and tons of obligations that the American government doesn't have to its people (paid vacations and such). They hand money to their citizens. From the end of the 30s until the start of the 70s we had immense growth in America. It was fueled by smart government spending on programs that benefited the people without just handing money away. We need smart spending now

  • I wonder if Ron Paul was shut out of this meeting. I guess a few Repubs have hijacked the entire house GOP.

  • Thank You John Boehner and all the Republicans who voted against this nonsense. Believe, Americans are calling Pelosi, Reid and all the Dem elitists! They need to be reminded that we pay the bills and this is not a bill we will pay!!!

You are my Hero John Boehner! We are behind the Republicans and the Dems will see how behind you we are. Phones and emails are flying! Obama's approval ratings have dropped 10 points in 10 days!

  • Comment removed

  • You have to invest money to make money. Just give American's a million Dollars each and that would solve the problem.

  • Wall Street Journal reported that only 12 cents of every dollar will actually go to economic stimulus. 88 cents of each dollar goes to PORK. Can you say OINK!?!?! Once again, Obama has proven to be more-of-the-same! Forget change.

  • Hypocrite. If that money were earmarked for Iraq, it would pass through you like shit through a goose.

  • For anyone who wants to get these republicans out of the way contact congress directly at #202-224-3121. Contact your local republican senator or you could ask for senator Grassey when the operator answers. Public pressure is desired, repeat calls are encouraged. Please spread this message on the net. Again the number is #202-224-3121.

  • Obama should just repeal the tax breaks for the very rich and get the stimulus passed without these fools. Where were all of these great leaders when they were in control. People are struggling out here and these people are playing politics asd usual. My brother in law makes 100k plus a year, and he just lost his job this morning so it affects all of us. People want to say it is for poor people. I don't think so. WHO'S NEXT? YOU?

  • where were these assholes for the last 8 years? this is what i like to call "opportunistic politics". these same dillholes stood by and cheered for bush while he screwed the taxpayer. now they want to act like they care simply because dems are the ones left holding the bag with few options. the plan, however, is a bad idea.

  • Insert "the top 5% of" between For and Taxpayers and that will be as accurate as is possible.

  • Anyone that blames Bush or Replublicans for our current economic mess is a lemming of the media and un-informed.

Anyone that thinks Pelosi OR Obama is trying to work in a bi-partisan manor is just plain stupid.

Obama came to the hill to ask for support of a bill that republicans had no say in. Is this representation for all? No way. It is representation of a democratic agenda.

This bill is a piece of crap.

  • Oh, god! Please get some psychiatric help.

  • This is the typical MO of the left. When confronted, they call names and yell like babys. The current economic crisis, was started by Bill Clinton, and continued by Bush as well as Congress. To blame just one side is ignorance. There were several attempts to right the wrong but it was blocked. Go to youtube and see for yourself. Watch Barney and company yell at their counterparts that there is nothing wrong with Freddie and Fannie. And now fix it with a bunch of giveaways? Wake up!

  • This current economic crisis was NOT "started" by Clinton. Although I would love for you to try to explain how, so I can take you down. People like Boehner, Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, and GREENSPAN are why we are in the state we are in today. try reading a little bit before you spout nonsense from your ignorant mouth.

  • So giving our money to their lobbiest buddies, and to a privately owned banking system know as the Federal Reserve. But money for Real tax-payers, education, and health-care, no we couldn't do that, that might actually make sense. We don't need political postuering we need unity for all not the rich. If you're not with our President your against America. You must support our President in a time of war.

  • Thats just it the very little of the money IS going to the little man, trade corporate fat cats for government pork fat cats and you get the picture. This bill will actually PROLONG the suffering of the poor working man. It will however entrench government even deeper in "poor working mans life" and make him a bigger slave to taxes then ever. Government has NEVER been successful at a business that made money, they are on good at spending it. Wait till the dollar is worth half its value....

  • You are right on the money. Sadly, I see no way out. It will take about 3 trillion dollars to stabilize our economy, and by then it will be way too late to even hope for free market capitalism to revive. We have fallen into an abyss and I see no way out. We will have socialized medicine, socialized education system, socialized retirement and well, Socialism. Knowing that now can at least serve you and your family and friends and neighbors somewhat to better prepare for the inevitability of it.

  • now lets hope they prevent Eric Holder from becoming Att. General. Why do liberals hate honest gun owners?

  • Great Job John! Keep up the good work!

  • Many, many years ago as a child I watched Bozo the clown on TV.

Now, all I have to do is watch C-Span with Boehner to see the same Bozo the clown show.

  • Hold Strong Mr. Boehner!

Thanks for the video, keep them coming.

  • Once again it's John Boehner trying to set things right. If you have read this bill you know it's not going to work. There isn't anything in it for those of us that aren't already in government. I'm one of the hundreds of thousands that have lost a job due to this crisis.

While Obama is our President and I want to support him. This bill shows what I already knew....the man has no experience. God help us all!!!

  • more videos like this one please!

  • What a bunch of opportunistic hypocrittes.

Where was all this concern a few months ago when it was Bush spending like a drunken sailor? Where was all this concern over the last 8 years when government expanded at a record rate, along with deficit and debt?

Nothing but bullshit partisan games. These jackasses are no better than the Democrats.

    Liars, all of them.

  • johnycannuk

What do you Canadians care about US politics?

Most of you guys here on Youtube are gay and too preoocupied with being gay that your comments are noticeably out of step with the flow of information here. Take your jackasses and you liars and your business somewhere else.

  • When the elephant sneezes, everyone catches cold. I do care about the US because I have friends and relatives there and because US policy often affects my way of life whether I want it to or not.

Oh noes, you called me ga! I'm crushed!

    What are you, 10?

I'm a libertarian sunshine and I know a bunch of hypocrites when I see them and the Republicans and Boehner are being petulant little hypocrites.

I'll keep my business right here if I like asshat. So shut it.

  • Of course you're gay. You said petulant. Only gays say petulant. At least learn the ways of the US if you want to comment about the US. I am not a republican anymore, not since Goldwater, but I am not a socialist. I have no sympathy for socialists because it simply doesn't work. It is very destructive to the individual and creates sheep who depend on government for EVERYTHING from cradle to grave. Besides, it doesn't work. Anyway, you should just dry up and blow away.

  • Socialist? Do you even know what 'libertarian' means?

Try 'teh google' grandpa. And point to anywhere I think the bailout or anything like it is ever remotely a good idea. It isn't, its terrible and will make things worse, not better. And it doesn't matter if its a Republican or Democrat, American or Canadian bailout. Meaning Boehner is a hypocrite.

As for the whole gay thing, you seen a bit obsessed. Kinda funny for a Navy man.

'Methinks the lady doth protest too much'

  • As for the whole gay thing, you seen a bit obsessed. Kinda funny for a Navy man.

'Methinks the lady doth protest too much'

Why conceal your homosexuality out here on the comments section, when plainly, and one need not be a semiotician to see it, you are gay. Be proud. But to conceal it makes one wonder what else you are concealing.

I have lived my life more closely than anyoeg I know as a libertarian. To criticize Boehner out of hand is wrong. He is the best thing we got going right now.

  • You are clearly confusing being intelligent and well read with being gay. Because we all know how easy it is to tell if someone was gay by their writing style. If I were gay, I'd say so. There is nothing wrong with being gay.

I criticize Boehner because he's a hypocrite and cannot be trusted. He didn't give a damn about tax payers and libertarian values when Bush was in charge, even a few months ago. But now that its Democrats doing the exact same thing, its horrible?

    He's a liar.

  • Obama will be a lameduck before his first term ends. Now all that has too happen is Obamas approval ratings to sink below Busches lowest and stays there.

  • Doing this video was a great idea. House Republicans are keeping their promise to the American people to return the party to fiscal sanity and this video helps communicate that message to the grassroots. Hopefully Sen. Republicans will find a similar backbone. THANK YOU LEADER BOEHNER!

  • go john go my congress man from the buckeye state o h i o!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Congressman Rep. Boehner (from my district!) is wrong. What exactly has the GOP done to create jobs? ( Invading the wrong country and employing defense contractors and military personnel doesn't count.) Finally we have a President with vision and courage. The GOP deserves every defeat that comes its way. 95% of taxpayers will see relief with this legislation. Access to family planning is a GOOD THING. Crime goes down when babies are wanted.

  • Have you READ the bill? You may want to take a look at some of what is in it. There is pork, pork and more pork. Only 12% of the money in this bill will even hit the economy in the first 2 years. This is a fact. Try doing research before you just spout about something you obviously know very little about.

  • Keep drinking the Kool-Aid - PD

    (aka Pelosi Democrat??)

You must be another of those ahem.. "D's".. looking for OUR govenrment and OUR taxes to take care of THEM.

Let's ALL GET TO WORK..... make some sacrifices....versus looking for OTHERS to take care of us!

GO JOHN....... keep them honest in Washington..... God Bless our President...God Bless our Congress and God bless John Boehner!

Let's really do this TOGETHER!! What a refreshing change that would be.

    WCRepublican......

  • PD - its easy to see why GREAT Americans are opposed to this bill -sample • $1.2 B youth programs. • $1.5 B extra for homeless • $5 B public housing. • $13.6 B special education - $550 M grants for Native American • $1 B low-income energy assistance • $200 M emergency food/shelter • $3.8 B work force training /retraining • $160 M com service/programs • $1 B local police • $1 B com health centers. • $1 B child care - lower income fam
  • Youth programs? Public housing? Out of all the items listed in WCRepublican's post which of those items will STIMULATE THE ECONOMY??? That is what the bill is for right? I am looking for an honest answer here. Please anyone who replies defend your answer. Don't just pick one and list it. BTW If you want to reply with nothing more than a personal attack please save it. I will just ignore you.

  • PHATHCOX - The sad news is this is "just a SMALL sampling" of a mere $30 BILLION of the total of $850 BILLION!!!

Isn't it amazing we use the words Trillion, Billion and Million with the same feelings in this bill as you and I might use the words Thousand, Hundred, Ten?

We really have NO CONCEPT of the commitment that is being made and certainly no oversight on the spending of this give-a-way program!

    Job creation? Forget it!

  • When people have a financial gap after losing their job, and finding a new one, (i.e.-unemployment & food stamps) then they can continue to spend money (which stimulates the economy, since 2/3 of our economy comes from spending)

Also a lot of these programs (youth programs special ed., work force training, etc.) they will all create jobs (people aren't going to do this work for free) and in the meantime will help people and kids.

  • American families are spending more wisely why is the govt not doing the same. Thank you Mr Boehner for bringing some sanity to DC. Keep it up.

  • John Boehner is a true American!

  • God bless John Boehner! Thank you so much.

  • Glad that someone (Boehner/republicans)is standing up for the tax payers;

good grief imagine$1 trillion and Pelosi's ideas. GRRRRR

  • Thanks for putting this together--and thank you for all your hard work today. Keep it up!

  • Hi Mr. Boehner, I live in West Chester and am a huge supporter of yours. Thank you for standing up for me in Washington. You are a hero! Please don't let Nancy Pelosi continue to speak against Republicans unchallenged. Please speak out against her everytime so that the American people can learn of her hypocracy.

  • God bless you folks! Stay strong!

  • You guys made me proud today. Stay strong and God Bless!

  • Thank God that all the Republicans voted against this.

  • Thank you sir for leading the fight against this omnibus of a spending entitlement bill. We are tired of our taxpayer money being used to bail out irresponsibility.

  • Thanks for putting this video together and working to save the taxpayer's billions of dollars in debt. Maybe instead of America being taxpayer's we could become investors in this wild ride called government and earn a dividend on the new bank treasury will install this year. Peace and Light to all concerned in building and restoring America to sanity from a stimulus package to an investment package. Just a thought.
