I have a 16 GB usb flash drive and i want to use all of it's memory for RAM on my computer. But it won't let me. It's only using 4GB of the usb as RAM. Is 4GB the maximum capacity? or is there a way to me to fully utilize all 16GBs of my usb? please answer if u have the time, i would very much like to be able to take full advantage of readyboost
Only works with USB 2.0 devices and must pass tests for available free space, write and random read performance. Recommended to reserve 1-3x the amount of RAM installed. Your drive must be at least 2.5MBps throughput for 4KB random reads and 1.75MBps throughput for 512KB random writes. Open the "Event Viewer" and drill down to: Applications and Services Logs, Microsoft, Windows, ReadyBoost, Operational. Look through the list of events to see the performance rating for a specific flash device.
Ok can someone help?
I set my USB for readyboost and click apply and ok.
I open up the readyboost again and readyboost is unselected.
Please help me out :(

BTW, how often you use external memory card to boost vista? I wonder if you can tell me whether it damages the memory card or not?

Should you have to remove the USB drive from your computer, will there be any errors if you are using a lot of system resources?
